Isnt stealing what makes a rogue a rogue? Otherwise it's just a dual wielding more dextrous warrior. A Ranger pretty much.
Why remove a defining class skill of a rogue? Especially when it was there in the first game, and every single other Bioware game that has Rogues? And yet the enemy rogues still get to steal?
Was it really that hard for Bioware to add a random loot table to enemies for items you can steal? And have a couple NPCs with specific loot you can nab?
What are your opinions? Should the DA2 rogue be called a rogue at all or should they rename it to ranger or something else?
More Biofail IMO.
Without Stealing is it really a rogue?

Pickpocketing npcs was how I made extra pocket money lol. Also no weapon switching as well was irritating and caused me to reset my inital playthrough
Really shoulda kept the skill trees in Bioware.

Did you honestly put points into steal in DAO? It was a wasted skill to invest in. XD

I'm sad that stealing is no longer an option, but I disagree that it's an essential part of being a rogue. As their in-game description from Origins stated, they're adventurers from all walks of life - not just criminals.

So you agree then, since you cant steal you're not really a rogue.

The title of "rogue" has always been a bit of a misnomer. Sure, it applies to many rogue builds, but all of them? A principled Dalish hunter would hardly be described as a "rogue".

You could easily make around 100 sovereigns more with it. So I disagree.

No... pickpocketing is what makes a thief a thief...
What makes a rogue is speed, stealth, and fun acrobatics

Right, they would be a Ranger not a Rogue.
