If you are looking to feed your RPG habit. Well I have just the thing for you!, for those of you who already played and compleated DA2, at least two times. (Proof on my profile) in just two months another game is going be released. It has the same interactions as Bioware had in DA1-2 and the same choices, impact your gameplay.

Though it's not as great as Bioware, how could it be. Bioware is the best. But it's a close second. The romance secnes are a little more vulgar and it's different but okay. The Witcher 2, releases in 5/18, that's in two months on the 18th.

I have played the witcher through and yes it does have the soft porn element in it but that can be turned off when you set up the game but is that really much diofferent then getting to sleep with a variety of your comrades straight and gay or Bi,,,,,,,,I think not and if you look over the community content there are a slew of adult mods and skins for DA:O so not as bad as might first be observed comparatively.  I for one will most certainly purchase Witcher 2 and will be much more pleased than is was with DA 2. I have a few friends who play alot of WOW and Assassins Creed and they love DA 2, it seems all the combat glitz fits their personality, and I am glad they enjoy it i on the other hand have only gotten to act 2 with one character because I cant seem to find any great desire to play it for any length of time. Unfortunately it just doesn't appeal to my particular gaming needs. Oh I will most likely finish it at least once but really dont know if I will actually bother to finish it with all six characters. Still hoping for a toolset that would definitely bring my interest back but i am only one of many who do not fit the new direction the company has decided to take so I am not expecting anything. But thats OK every company needs to make money and this is there way of doing it. Good luck to em..........They'll still have me playing DA:O for a long while.

I'm sorry I fail how to understand how this is spam? this to my knowing is the first time I mentioned the Witcher 2 and was in response to players that have already completed the current game looking for another game to play. I believe you to be inaccurate in considering this spam.

Also the game details much, much more then bedding women with eroitc pictures. Speaking from personal experience having played the Witcher 1, it's about storylines, that are interactive, their are choices. Are you simply upset because it's not coming out on the console.

Again you ignore the overall storyline of the witcher, the first witcher had an engine devloped by Bioware. You instead focus on the raw pictures of the naked women that are held up for a 2 seconds in your romance. You have clearly nothing to offer the thread, instead of inaccurate information and one sided views.

You shold be aware your also mentioning the game that was the number 1 cause of flame wars and DA2 SUCKS! type threads, and many here on how it was being rubbed around in a snobish manner don't care for it.

Besides its not out yet and just because it has alot of hype doesn't mean if won't suck, such as was the case with Homefront which is collecting bad scores left and right.

I don't focus my attention on those people who posted "Witcher is better looking then this game" I ignore what has been said in the flame wars. My attention is not focused on what companys have said, or have not said. And I do not support the fan bois of The Witcher who post message "This game is better then this game"

I clearly believe DA2 to be a better game. I am simply suggesting another game for people to play after they have finished the game. If you take the fact that this is spamming or starting a flame war, simply because I opened up the option of another game thats not bioware in off topic, while making no refences about that game compared to da2 as in being better.

Then you are completey ignoring the fact of this entire thread and should not post. This is not about flame wars, it's merely the only other interaction, choice rpg people might have left before SWTOR MMO comes out, and it was merely a suggestion. It's not my fault how you see this thread.

Why should i care what platforms it's coming out on? Or are you one of those "i'm a PC and i'm better than you" types? For the record i play both PC and Console games if you wanted to know.

I'm glad you are not denying that bedding women is part of the gameplay some Witcher fans like to pretend this doesn't happen so i take their favourite game seriously but i find it hard to because of how cheesy that whole thing is. And what made me laugh is they censored it in the American version but then a patch was released because people really wanted the erotica. I guess its an important part of the game afterall for it;s fans

The storylines and interactivity are okay i guess. Not keen on the combat system though kinda feels like i'm playing Heavenly Sword without the cool fight scenes.

In any case won't be buying the second game methinks though i'll see it eventually as i'm sure my other half will buy it to look at the dirty pictures <_<

I myself have no love for The Witcher 2, or any hate, Though the time the DA:2 forum more or less turned into The Witcher 2 is better and god of PC gaming did not set well with me. As a PC and a 360 player I grow tired of the whole "WA BIO IS ONLY FOR PC'S YOUR STEALING IT FROM US!!!", I was pointing out it will not be recived here very well and may cause trouble, just as if I went running around town in an SS uniform.

Why would I try to refuse that bedding is part of the game? Romance as Bioware once said is part of any interesting storyline. Now with Bioware, we can choose mods to make people like Morrgian even sexier or do certain things. In the Witcher 2, they hold up a single card which shows the woman exposed. However it's not ana ctual picture, more of a drawing or painting. Though it is pretty vulgar, playboy vulgar, not hustler vulgar.

Though that's not my only reason for playing the game. While i am not turned off by it, that's not the sole reason I play the game. I choose to play it because instead of waiting for a year or more for another DA game to come along I like to play another interactive game.

Unless I am mistaken, The Witcher is the only other game that did this. I'll admit in their first game had a ton of flaws, yet the overall storyline was interesting enough. I only recently played the first one a couple of months ago. I'm not sure if I got the censored verizon or not.

Though I am hoping that combat has been changedm so playing your PC doesn't feel so sluggish. That the storylines are more interaction and better moral choices. Also perhaps maybe they give you an otpion when a new quest is open and where.

That comparison just seems strange to me. If anything the combat reminded me of playing Solitaire in work, absent mindedly tapping the mouse button every couple of seconds. It was what really put me off the game, which was a shame as I loved the books, well the ones that have been translated so far.

I don't get the complaints about the sex cards in the Witcher 1. They're all optional, just like the romances in BioWare games. Not to mention, Dragon Age has a brothel where one can indulge in bestiality among other things.

Saying it's part of the gameplay is a gross overstatement.

I really didn't mind the adult content in the first game. I thought it was original and quite fun to play as bad*** warrior and had the choice to pimp every woman you met, but ultimately it really didn't have much to do with the overall gameplay.

I understand how some of you dislike or even become offended by such thing, but to pass judgment on its players or "fans" based upon your perception of that is just slightly unfair. Even Dragon Age has many user-made "adult-oriented" mods.

That said, the Witcher 2 definitely will get my money.

I haven't seen people rubbing the Witcher 2 in people's faces on the forums for a long time now.  I have seen people hating on it like Moondoggie here and flaming on it while the flame wars on the DA2 forums seem to be in full swing with no references to W2 needed...

the one of the 2 main issue with the Witcher for me was the combat and that was also the main reason I actually stopped playing it ... sometime in the swamp. I tried picking it up again a while back before DA2 came out, but the same happened again.

So without seeing how the combat plays out and how it is different to the original, without the marketing guys getting in the way of it, I'm not really all that excited about the Witcher 2. Compared to other games that are on the horizon.

Didn't like the first Witcher, combat just got too repetitive and frankly it felt like a lot of the different combat styles were forced on you just to pad the fighting out.

Also I tried playing the game being the friend to people and women still fell on the back wanting to be well....... I will admit I felt really dirty playing the game and I wasn't even trying to get into bed with anybody, really puts women in a bad light.

Also I didn't like the voice acting of the PC it really put me off.

Its like my SS comment, WW2 happend a bit of a ways back, however, even if I'm a reinactor and was given the part of a German Soldier in that conflict, I doubt I would walk the streets in the suit, maybe parts of it, but nothing that screams SIEG HIEL! As I know it would cause problems. Just like running into a military base with a turban on my head screaming ALLAH ACKBAR! And yes now the forums doesn't need W2 to make a flame war.

But that doesn't change the fact it did.

So just to be clear, you are arguing that people should be forbidden from talking about a game because some trolls upset a few people?  I guess we shouldn't talk about any game ever then.

To be Clear, much of the Dragon Age pre-release flame-wars were aggravated by snobbery from fans of both games. however, some people on these forums still resent fans of the Witcher series for provoking a good number of the early flame-wars. I personally don't think that I am qualified to judge either game until I can snag a copy and finish it.

Furthermore, Godwins law should not be used in ad hominem attacks on other forumites.
