I didn't check the Act 3 issues thread because I'm avoiding spoilers, so I don't know if this has been addressed.
A friend of mine just alerted me to a Merril quest bug, and it turns out I have it. Basically, at the start of Act 3 when you visit her for the first time it is going right to a Cut Scene as though you've done all her Companion quests for Act 3...and gotten all the worst results.
Just bringing it up in case no one else has, since I haven't seen a direct thread about it, yet. Between this and the Slow-Mo bug looks like I may have to start over once it all gets fixed...which hopefully is soon.

I didn't get that. I have heard that it can be connected to romance.

I was not romancing Merril. I was in full romance with Isabela, and therefore suffering from that bug. Others I know who have it were not romancing Merril either.
