I'm told there is a quest by the name of Finding Nathaniel in the third act, given by Delilah Howe outside the Chantry.
I didn't find it on my first playthrough, I went back to a previous save and checked Hightown day/night as well as the Chantry, but found no sign of her.
Is it possible that choices I made in Awakening have made him unavailable? I left him to defend Vigil's Keep while I went to save Amaranthine, when I reached the Mother's lair the codex noted that he had died, along with the other companions I didn't take with me. However I had the Vigil fully upgraded and the epilogue noted that he survived, remained a Gray Warden and had a statue erected in his honor.
I would very much like to see Nathaniel again, help?

I remember reading in the strat guide that if you do the Fools Gold quest (rescuing the 3 dwarves in the deep roads) that you can't do Nathaniel's quest.

The Epilogue doesn't matter, Nathaniel is dead in your Awakenings save, therefore you cannot find him in DA2.

I THINK your sibling needs to be a Grey Warden to get this quest. Again I think that is what you need. Not 100% on this.

There is an import bug. Some say it is DA2's error, other say it is Witch Hunt's problem.
Just use the Import Generator to make a import for your next play through, and maybe it will work. That is what I am doing right now.

Nathaniel has to survive Awakening event for him to show up with his quest.
Either you imported a save from DA:O with him survived, or you pick the "martyr" default option at the beginning of the game.
However, when I imported my save from DA:O, I'm pretty sure Nathaniel survived. He's not in my active party, I left him with Vigil's keep as well. But the game informed me he survived the fight. I still don't have his quest in Act 3... Maybe you have to have him in your active party to insure that, I don't know.

I didn't import any saves from DA:O/Awakening and this quest still doesn't trigger for me. Weird.
