So I've already detailed how this game made me acknowledge it's greatness, but now the game holds an even more important place in my life, because my boyfriend proposed to me with it.

He was able to sneak around and get everything prepared because I was so immersed in the game in the first place, with my headphones blocking out the real world. But when I started it up yesterday, about five minutes into playing I got a blue screen of death. I was annoyed because I had never gotten it with Dragon Age before, but then I noticed that the text in the BSOD was talking about love and how we should always be together. I read the whole thing, and when I turn to my boyfriend he's on his knees and holding out the ring.

It turns out he had gotten his friend (who also happens to be currently obsessed with Dragon Age )to write up some code in Java that would give me the message after he put the file in my Dragon Age folder, which he managed to do while I was sleeping. I said yes naturally, and now will always remember how I got engaged to both Alistair and my real boyfriend on the same day. :kissing:

Crikey. +1 originality points for that proposal method. I think I'd have had to say yes too. Which is worrying as a straight man.

Congratulations my dear, and pass on my applause to your inventive betrothed.

Congratulations.

An odd thing to share with a group of unappreciative strangers, but congratulations anyhow.

One good thing about the blight is how it brings people together.

Unappreciative isn't always correct. I am glad to hear happy news in light of all the bad that has been out lately.

Good to know a game this addictive has the potential to bring two people together. Usually a game like DA:O is blamed for ending relationships.

As Bilhelm said, it is good to know that video games can bring people together as well.
The problem always is that these things hardly get any attention in the big media.Mainly the bad things concerning video games will.

Getting engaged through video games is deserving of win and cookies.

Really I just love reading stories like this about how video games can actually make people happy instead of silly negatives. I got engaged because of a video game too, so we should totally start a club or something.

A we can have a Warden's Pillow Fort for only 500 BioWare points.

Does anyone else feel the urge to vomit? No? 'Tis just me?

Kidding aside, congratulations.
