About to finish the haunted quest where varric is asking for the last shard of the idol so he can use it to help bartrand. Should i give it to him or not? just want to know that outcomes and havn't saved in a while so dont want to have to kill my way back to this part any insight on which choice does what?

Giving it to him gives Bianca (his weapon) 3 more rune slots. Not giving it to him means (I think) that you keep it, allowing you to place it on a different weapon for 3 extra rune slots.
