Hey guys,
Finished the game and thought it was awesome. I did the romance with Merrill, because she was so socially awkward, thus making her incredibly cute and adorable.
Something I was wondering though, as the game takes place over a 10 year period, is there any particular reason marrying a love interest wasn't implemented? (Unless it was for another romance, but from what I've read it doesn't appear to be that way?)
Obviously it would need to be in character for that particular love interest (if memory serves, Isabela was quite opposed to the prospect of being married, as her first marriage was quite abysmal), but I was a bit surprised the option never came up considering the length of time the game covers.

Short answer: they didn't want to program it, I guess.
I do wish I could have married Fenris in the epilogue. I'm viscount, I can do what I want!

Hahah a marriage with Fenris just sounds... odd. He doesn't even move in, after all.

Well the romances that move in pretty much act like they are married (well Okay merrill did). I guess adding marriage would be too uncomfortable for the devs, like allowing you and the LI to have kids.

The thought crossed my mind, mostly because it seemed as though my Hawke and Merrill were married, what with all the elven terms of endearment.

I don't believe in marriage.

It might also create some attention since we've got some same sex relationships and we wouldn't want to upset certain networks now would we?

Lol, my mage ran away with Anders... I don't imagine them married, it puts me off. I'm more into hard times and tragedy.
I guess the devs didn't do it for the same reason you could only marry Alistair in Origins.
