I keep panacea defaulted off because it feels useless to me. Anders is just another nuker with 2 heals and a rez in my book.
He has all the same nukes/brittle openers as meryl, but when the group gets low or someone falls, I notice he will always cast regroup and group heal automatically with a single condition tactic without turning on panacea. Anyone else notice this or do you guys always leave panacea on? I find losing out on a second mage's offense hurts my "the best defense is a good offense" tactic.
Anyone else notice anders use group heal/regroup without panacea?

There seems to be a bug where tactics will fire off abilities no matter what.

Didn't see it myself on Anders yet because I didn't use him on my first playthrough, but I've seen Merrill use Wounds of the Past pretty much every battle without ever turning on hBlood of the First.

Yeah there are also instances where if you re-spec and had an ability in the tactics set that you don't have points in anymore your character still casts it. This game has many bugs like this that shows very little QA was done. It's hard to believe devs could not easily seen and recreate these as almost every bug report on this forum I have experienced myself except for PC exclusive ones.

Yeah, I found out about this tactics bug quite quickly. Had Carver set up to use Elite or Higher --> Control / Normal or Lower --> Might. Next thing I know he has both activated at the same time.

In my experience, Bioware games have little to no QA to be honest. DA:O and Awakening were filled with bugs that still aren't fixed. At least DA2 doesn't have that stupid memory leak like DA:O I guess.

@Atmos
True but it could be worse i guess. Black Ops on day one had the worst QA easy issues ever seen and made me put it down for an entire week until they patched it.

Ooh I just noticed the double exclusive sustains when set with conditionals in tactics.

Haha, that "feature" might just make Anders useful after all

My fenris is currently rocking both Control and Might. Nice

lol, I've found that if I switch to another character when I'm on my mage, I can somehow use crushing prison and walking bomb on enemies it wouldn't let me do when I targeted them.
I really can't complain all that much...

Hawke as spirit healer can cast Group Heal and the revive spell as well without the sustained if you let the AI tactics do the work.

So I guess we all agree using tactics to get extra sustains and spells is not a bug its a feature.
