DA3 will take place in Tevinter, but you will hear of a drooling dwarf kid singlehandedly razing Val Royeaux to the ground.

That doesn't mean he stays in Orlais.
If Bodhan isn't with him he could get lost and wind up in Antiva.

Yeah Sandal has a tendecy of wandering off...
But honestly when I heard that Bodahn and Sandal where going to to Orlais, I thought the same as the OP
.
But it can just as easily be somewhere completly different, with Bodahn and Sandal apearing later in the game (or not apearing at all)

It can't be in Orlais; DA3 will be about a new hero- Litoris, the Love Train of Rivain!

Think they'd want to stay away from Tevinter. He'd probably get abducted and experimented on.

I actually hope it's in Orlais. You hear so much about it in both games (more in DAO, though).

Not at all. The Tevinter has a very good relationship with the Dwarves. If anything they might employ him as an enchanment maker.
The Tevinter to me seems like the place you want to go for magical purposes. Take Wynne and Shale, it speaks volumes that Wynne was comfortable going into the Tevinter with Shale and what I think is remarkable the Tevinter un-did the Golem process! That's amazing. Plus Connor went to the Tevinter to learn magic without fear just like that sleep walker kid.
The Tevinter isn't the monster everyone thinks it is.

If Loghain is still alive in your playthrough and you've played Awakening, then Loghain was actually sent to Orlais by the Grey Wardens.

The references to Orlais made me think we'll be going there either in a DLC or DA3.

Yea, the day of some new PC for DA3 is over, you have two heros that are GONE and you bring some other no name in that we have to get used to. I like both Hawke and The Warden, lets get on with them and not some new PC, I'am sick to death of this kind of act. I hope that the next game has both, they were both in the mix at the end of DA2 and to leave them out is hogwash. I want to carry them over and take on the war that is to come, it will take them both.
You could have a choice of who to be, the Warden or Hawke, run either story and then do it again with the hero you didn't pick.
When you keep putting in new PCs you run it into the ground and the story gets so waterd down, take Resident Evil, they aded so many PCs it made the game horride to end game of story or character. I think we have enough characters in DA to carry it to a good end,.We don't need more then the two pcs we have, it would be like a barrel of apples and all waterd down.
Leave this game with the Warden and Hawke to pick from, otherwise it gets like rotten apples, keep having to fill in some new guy of what you already know and have down,. If I had my way it would be the Warden back with Hawke in the Mix, hell voice the damn Warden, thats not a sin to do.
I know you want the game to be about the world around it, but hell the Warden and Hawke are apart of that world and know it and should be in it.
I will see what you guys do, but if I had to bet there will be no Warden to play and about a 50/50 chance you guys stick with Hawke.
I loved DA2 but all the talk of our Warden in it......made me want to be back with him/her and I would love to be our Warden again, I hold out hope for that and will always have that hope.

I believe that you will be in Orlais for Dragon Age 3. I also think the scary lady that Sandal is seeing is Flemeth and you'll see some how interacting with Sandal in Dragon Age 3.

I kind of think the same, to be honest. Orlais has been brought up so much in both games that it seems like the most logical choice for the next adventure to take place, especially considering what's going on.
But on the other hand, I'm horrible at predicting stuff like this. I think I would prefer Orlais to the Tevinter Imperium though. Although considering the conflict that the world is experiencing, going to both locations would be kind of cool.

Better be in Orlais. I want a French Cavalry specialization.

Tewinter is my guess. Or a war with Tewinter in response for the Mage Rebellions.
Although, I would really like to see Par Vollen.

There's only one solution. Dragon Age becomes the next Final Fantasy. Only way we'll get to cover all the setting.
