 I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but I've googled for about an hour and I can't find a definitive answer;

What do the item background colours mean, exactly? It seems white is common or possibly uncommon.. or something.. I've seens green items too, and red/brown.

Does anyone know, exactly?
