If you could have a DLC that explains the backstory of a companion, which one would it be?

Please choose a companion, and tell why.
Personally, I would like to learn more about Isabela. Mostly because she doesn't talk much about her past, and she's a pirate! Pirate's are awesome.

We already learn a lot about Anders in Dragon Age:Origins-Awakening.graciegrace wrote...
the way I see it, Isabella and Anders make the most sense since their actions tie directly to the main plot, so more understanding of them would be great
But I agree with you about Isabella.

Fffff. Isabela or Fenris.
You'd get to see parts of the Imperium. WOOT!

Surprisingly, we don't. In fact, that's why a lot of people thought he'd be in DA2 long before that was announced. We found out so much more about the other companions and practically nothing about Anders. We already learn a lot about Anders in Dragon Age:Origins-Awakening.
I would want a DLC explaining how the Justice/Anders thing came to be. And exactly how much of that was Nathaniel's fault for giving certain people stupid ideas.

I'd say Isabela has a nice shot at getting her own DLC, considering how little we know of her background. The whole captain-thing could provide some interesting plotlines too.
Otherwise, perhaps Fenris. His running from Danarius, his stay with the rebels in Seheron, the events leading up to him competing for his lyrium tattoo's; no denying the potential there.
Merrill and Varric wouldn't be obvious choices, but who knows. A pre-Blight Aveline would have my interest, but I doubt it'll come to that. I suppose there's still Sebastian, but well. Having a DLC focusing on a previous DLC would just be silly.

Well, how much is there to know, really? He got ripped from his family at age twelve, sent to the Circle, escaped, got caught, escaped, got caught, escaped, got caught, escaped, got caught, escaped, got caught, escaped, got caught, and then escaped some more.
I doubt much of significance happened in between, and the fact that there are so many attempts kind of takes away any interesting aspects of focusing on a specific one of them.
To be honest, I'm still rather surprised the Templars didn't just kill him after Escape 2.0.

Weren't there some interviews that said that they wanted the main character to be more involved in campaigns about a companions past? I wonder how...

The Imperium? Hardly. If previous DLC is any indication, Fenris and Denarius would just be making a trip to the Denerim marketplace.

Well...It would be fun to see how Sebastian used to act, I mean didn't he say that he used to be like Isabella?Lilunebrium wrote...

Or see him go back to Starkhaven to become ruler.
Yeah, I wanna see Starkhaven...

They could go for some variety. Perhaps they'll go to Hightown together instead.casedawgz wrote...

There are two three year time gaps that are begging to be filled..... plenty of time for a companion to face their past, or for other crap to happen.

But what if it is like Leliana's Song? Where we really go back in time and play as the companion?
What would it be like then? Isabella, Fenris,Varric ect. telling Hawke the story of their live?
(Whitin the story Varric is already telling?)

Dear God, yes please! If BioWare throws in "What happened during the time gaps?" DLCs, I'll be a very happy girl.
Though I suspect the amount of rage on the forums would be off the charts ("Omg! Why not put it in the actual game!? I'll never buy a BioWare game ever again! Whine whine, rage rage!").
