If you could have a DLC that explains the backstory of a companion, which one would it be?

For a good story I would pick Varric. Fun and epic adventuring in perspective.
Fenris could also make a great stroy but somehow the guy completely lacks humor and it would be a very morose DLC.

What would it be like then? Isabella, Fenris or Varric telling Hawke the story of their live?
(Whitin the story Varric is already telling?)
"Yo dawg. We heard you like plot. So we put a story in a story in a story, so they can narrate how they narrate how they narrate!"

Dear God, yes please! If BioWare throws in "What happened during the time gaps?" DLCs, I'll be a very happy girl.
Though I suspect the amount of rage on the forums would be off the charts ("Omg! Why not put it in the actual game!? I'll never buy a BioWare game ever again! Whine whine, rage rage!").
Yes, well, I think you'll get that no matter what DLC BW puts out. It is the internetz, after all.

I beg to differ! Did you miss the banter where he asks Varric if his beard migrated to his chest??

Fenris would be interesting for the Imperium alone, though I don't much care for him as a character.
Varric... well, maybe, though DA2 pretty much has him as the center due to his narrator's perspective.
Isabela? Ugh, Dumat forbid.

It doesn't even remain with DLC. All BioWare has to do these days is utter a squeek, and they've got people unleashing their hidden teenage-hormones on them. Poor sods.

Well I trust BioWare they had some good ME 2 DLC's and I liked most of the DLC's for Origins. (The only one I didn't buy was Darkspawn Chronicles because I'm not a big fan of "What if" stories.)Mel_Redux wrote...

But I have pretty good feeling about DA 2 DLC's since apearantly now the entire team will work on them. And in Origins only a small part of the team worked on the DLC's (Or so I've heard, I could be wrong)

Not to mention the dancing through his mansion thing! Just look up some banter. Sword's not nearly as high up his arse as people make it out to be.

Well all companions do, that's what I really like.
It does seem that we know a little less about our companions then in Origins though.
I was hoping that Isabela would tell us about her adventures some more, or Merrill giving us more information about the Dalish. I really hoped we would get info like that, I really liked it when Zevran told us about his missions for the Crows in Origins and Sten tell us about Qunari culture.
Ah well... There is always DLC or expansion packs for that.

Isabela: I want to play as her when she steals the Qunari book.

Or see him go back to Starkhaven to become ruler.
Yeah, I wanna see Starkhaven...

I think it would be awesome in general to see another Free City in DLC, or even better, an expansion pack.basbaker wrote...

But playing in Starkhaven as Sebastian Vael (especially in his youth) would be in my top 3 of DLC's.
- A story about how Bianca got it's name.
- Isabella's backstory.
- MOAR Sebastian Vael.

While it would be super duper interesting to get inside her head during these events (especially in regards to her decision to deal with the demon), I'm not sure if that would translate well into DLC form. Though, I'm with you in that I'd like to see it.
Someone like Isabela or Varric would have more colorful backstories and these might possibly fit into DLC better, similar to Leliana's Song.

Though I lean towards Bianca... err, Varric
Note: I never bought Leliana's Song, because DA:O was about my Warden. If the DLC didn't have my Warden as the main character, I didn't buy it... I wasn't interested. This time around, though, I feel like there's so much I MISSED about my companions, and I want to know more.

Damn, you specified companions... alright, Varric because he's better than my, you, anyone.
I want the "Varric Tethras Chronicles"
Varric Tethras: Brother At Large
Varric Tethras: Meet your Maker - the Bianca Tale.
Varric Tethras: The Chest Hair of Destiny
and many MORE!
