If you could have a DLC that explains the backstory of a companion, which one would it be?

Fenris, Varric, or Merrill?
I'd really love to see comics or novels or something though.

I know he's from Origin and not Dragon Age 2...but I would love to see a DLC about Loghain's rise from commoner to war hero during the Orlesian occupation of Ferelden. I think he really has the potential for a truly fascinating story, with plenty of moral dilemmas.
The issue is, that story has already been told in a novel. Read "The Stolen Throne", written by our own David Gaider.

My second choice would be Sebastian. What happened with him and his lands... or a dlc where he goes back to Starkhaven and takes back his lands.

We already learn a lot about Anders in Dragon Age:Origins-Awakening.graciegrace wrote...
the way I see it, Isabella and Anders make the most sense since their actions tie directly to the main plot, so more understanding of them would be great
But I agree with you about Isabella.
DLC for the story when Anders merges with Justice and the transformation from the Anders in Awakening to the Anders in DAII. Because despite what we know of him in Awakening he goes through some pretty heavy **** to end up like he is in DAII. Would love to see it.
I also would love some Isabella DLC where we releases the slaves and then have to steal that Qunari sacred text only to be stranded at Kirkwall.
Varric would be great to have because he is Hawke's best bud and I would like to see him find Bianca, and why is she named such?
Aveline at Ostagar would be awesome, and we could see familiar faces, figth the battle at the front line and then have to escape the horde. How awesome would it be to have her talking to someone who is gossiping about the new Warden recruit who just showed up with Duncan? This has potential I think.
Fenris would be cool to have DLC also. Although it would probably take place on Seahron (the island the Qunari took from Tevinter can't spell it) and escaping his master, maybe several times.
If I had to choose just one of these it would be Aveline's Ostagar DLC...that just seems too awesome.

Not they they're going to do it. Leliana's song was my favourite DLC, but most people don't agree

I prefer DLC's that lead upto DA 3 as well. But I'd love to get some info on the backgrounds of our companions.VictorianTrash wrote...
If they absolutely need to do back-story DLC, I'd at least try something with Merrill or Isabella. But honestly, I hope it doesn't come down to more Leliana's Song DLCs. I want expansions, content that leads up to DA3 and expands on it. Or at least material that fills in the blanks of the whole Chantry-Mage debacle.
Post-game content.
It seems like we know less about the backgrounds of our companions in DA 2 then we did about our companions in Origins. but that might just be me.
For example I was really hoping that Isabella would tell us some of her adventures as a pirate, or tell a little about Rivain. And Merrill tell us about the Dalish and how her clan moved on after Tamlen's death.
The only one that really seemed to go into more detail about his live was Fenris, but it still felt a bit lacking.

Little Dwarf with rock armor and a huge Stone hammer... that's all I am sayin'.

Firstly, I wasn't really satisfied with the introduction of Hawke's doomed sibling. I mean seriously, I've only been playing for twenty minutes, had exactly three conversations with them and you expect me to care when they die? Not going to happen. Some sort of buildup would have been nice.
Secondly, I'd love more interaction between all three siblings. It seems like it'd be interesting to see how Carver and Bethany get along, and the growing resentment between Carver and Hawke.
Finally, I'm just really curious about Malcolm. I wanna see!
But (since I'm a realist) I'd like Fenris. He just seems like the most interesting character.
*Not at all biased*

I meant companions from DA 2, but yeah it would be interesting to see Zev's past with the Crows.god dammit anders wrote...
Ugh, can Varric just narrarate everything ever? He needs his own audiobook series. I'd be down for anything they wanted to do with him. AND FENRIS. Because we learn a little bit about stuff, but I think it would be cool to go farther down with his sister and how he asked for his markings etc.
And Zevran because I wanna see more about the Crows and he tickles my fancy forever.
Though I wouldn't mind a DLC about what he is doing now, killing Crows cells here and there as well as Masters.
