Sandal!
If not him, then most assuredly Varric/Bianca.
If you could have a DLC that explains the backstory of a companion, which one would it be?

Anders or possibly Merrill or Fenris.

I think BioWare's plan is to put Sandal and Bodahn in each game so that we slowly learn more about Sandal.heman14 wrote...

Also the thaig you go to at the end of Act 1 was apearantly constructed with magic, and Sandal uses magic.
Maybe that's where he came from? I mean in the codex entry it seemed that most dwarves where locked up there because they where going crazy. Maybe Sandal escaped but got lost in the Deep Roads?

I would get a DLC on anyone because all the characters are awesome in their own ways...except maybe Sebastian because he annoys the crap out of me

I'd love to find out what Isabela was doing for the three years between act 2 and 3. I love that character so much, her dialogue is so funny.

Ooh, this is difficult.
I wouldn't mind anybody on this. Even Merrill, who is my least favourite companion. (I pity her for what happens to her in her Act 3 quest, but I think she was daft getting involved with the Pride Demon in the first place).
I'd like a Varric and Bianca DLC the most though, I think... a Fenris, Isabela or Anders DLC is fine too, an Aveline DLC seems pointless, as much as I love her, as there's not much to say about her that hasn't been touched upon in the game. A Merrill DLC will most likely be about Merrill making a deal with the trapped Pride Demon and her relationship with her clan, which isn't uninteresting, but there's not much to say either.
Varric, Fenris, Isabela and Anders all have a little mystery in their pasts which could be interesting to explore... but how would they be pulled off? Would we be able to play Hawke, or would we be some person that happened to be there at the time (like a pirate on the Siren's Call, or a fellow slave/magister)?
So many questions...

Fenris. I'd prefer insight into the competition that determined he'd get his markings. Although knowing more about his time with the Fog Warriors would be awesome, too.

I'm sure Varric's had a few adventures which he could embellish upon.

I like to see from origins a Zevran DLC in either the past or the future. As long as Zevran's still kickass I don't care. From DA2, I'd like to see a Varric DLC or Fenris DLC b/c I think they are the most interesting characters in the game. Also I'd like to see something involving the grey wardens with Nathaniel in it...yeah, I'm not biased on that one

Fenris for 2 reasons (well 1 but one is for no Anders DLC)
- We have no real clue as to Fenris's history
- Why do we need an anders DLC, and do not say that we do not know what happened between Awakening and DA2: Anders merged with justice, fled the wardens and came to kirkwall since there are no warden outposts in the free marches. Happy now, anders between DAO:A and DA2

Anders is my favorite character, but I think I'd be most interested in a Fenris DLC. I'd like to see his escape from Danarius and such.

Fenris.
He's the one i'd like to know more about.
Plus I love me some brooding elf.

Most interesting would probably be Fenris, realistically though they'll probably do Varric.

Grey Warden Carver during act 2. Killing broodmothers yellin, "This-is-how-we-did-it-back-in-Ferelden!" in his monotone voice.

I'm a little torn on this one. I would love to see Anders in between Awakening and Kirkwall (how he got to that point). I want to see Merril being taken in by the demon. Isabella would definitely be awesome, all the sex she has, freeing the slaves, and steeling from the qunari. Fenris, losing his memory while cutting down a **** load of people. Of course Varric getting Bianca... well, not Aveligne, she never interested me as a character.
PS: Kirkwall is an actual place in the UK.

Isabela! <3
Not only because she is the awesome button in the shape of a sexy pirate lady, but because she has a background of a world-travelling adventurer that she never really talks much about and it would be an excellent excuse to show us more of the places of Thedas that we might never get to see otherwise.

Fenris.
He isn't my favorite character, but he is defintely the most deserving.

Ooh, a necro thread.
Isabela could be fun. It could be all set at sea too, to continue with the concept of cutting development costs...

Fenris, without a doubt. Of course, that's because I <3 him.
Actually, if this DLC could also expand on the actual relationships in the game, it might be nice to do something with Sebastian. I mean...if you can convince him to take back Starkhaven, while rivalmancing him into princehood, shouldn't there be some kind of...carnal...reward?

Either Fenris or Varric. Because either one would be awesome.
Though an Isabela one could be interesting too.
