In searching around, all of the information I have found is ambiguous on this subject.

Do sustain/activated abilities "stack," and if so, how does that work? Eg, I have a warrior with 'turn the blade' activated so that they get +10% defence, and then I have a mage activate 'arcane sheild' with the 'arcane wall' upgrade, does this take the defense value for my warrior that already has the +10% added to it and add an additional +20%?

I saw somewhere that if I had two mages with arcance shield+arcane wall, then having both of those mages activate that ability would still only result in everyone getting +20% defence, and I became worried that other effects that modify the same properties wouldn't stack.
