As I was going through a playthrough, I realized I came to a point where I forgot a companion's armor upgrade. Namely the Armor struts for anders. Since I didn't want to revert my save game 6 hours back over a relatively worthless armor upgrade, I tried using the pyGFF tool to try adding it in. However, for the the life of me I can't find a way to add it.
So does any one know a way to edit/add/remove the companion upgrades or if it is even possible?
Add missed Companion armor upgrades?

I'm really not in the mood to write out another guide, but maybe I can point you in the right direction.
Go into your rewards.gda file and find the armor upgrade uti files. They are
gen_im_cns_flu_anders_01.uti
gen_im_cns_flu_anders_02.uti
gen_im_cns_flu_anders_03.uti
gen_im_cns_flu_anders_04.uti
Now add these into the rewards.gda file under a quest you are about to complete.
If your unsure about the format browse through quests until you see how the uti files are inserted into the quest.
Also dont try and go beyond the 6 string limit since changing the array size for any of the quests will result in an error.
I hope that helps I'm planning to do this for some of my companions in my current playthrough that I have been unable to find final upgrades for.

Is there an easier, save game editor way to do this?
Having to create a new mod file every time you want to make a tweak is a bit overkill, no?

Also, what are the upgrade files for the other NPCs that can upgrade? Isabella, Merril, and Fenris I believe?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I can't seem to get this to work. I'm supposed to export the rewards.gda file from 2da.rim then use gdapp to edit the upgrade into a quest reward and save it then place it into the override folder, right?
Regardless of the missions i try be it main/secondary/companion/side quests, i can't get it to work. I can only imagine i'm doing something wrong.

In hindsight, It's not to far back. I decided to just load an old save. turns out i missed fenris's companion mission any way so might as well get the extra xpand his upgrade.

There is also an add item mod on the forums here somewhere look for that as it allows you to add these manually with a simple console runscript command.

Use the awesome mod above by Thought Process
Just look at each companions armor list on DA Wiki and add them with the console.
