Playing on PC I'm having trouble with abilities as I did with the demo.
Sometimes when I select an ability it fires immediately, sometimes I get the abilities cursor and have to left click on a target, and sometimes I get neither and have to re-target or move to be able to use the ability.
What am I missing here?
Is it me or is it the game/

The first two are working as intended. If you right-click and enemy it targets them allowing you to use hotkey'd abilities. If you dont have a preset target, using those abilities instead switches your cursor to the targeting mechanic.
As for the third issue, we may have to be more specific.

I should have made it more clear: In all three cases I am auto-attacking a previously selected target.
Sometimes the ability fires, sometimes I just get the ability cursor (even though I have a target), and sometimes I get nothing (the ability doesn't fire and I get no cursor).
Abilities that don't require a target such as whirlwind, for example, work fine.
