I haven't encountered this on my XBox version, though I rarely have Sebastian and Isabella at the same time.

On XBox 360: I have seen the makers sigh bug, and the out of combat health gain bug.

I think one way to tell if you have the bug is to look at your class abilities... if you see Isabella or Seb's friend bonus when they aren't in your party, then you're probably being slowed down/weakened.

I don't have the problem either, and I'm on the PC. This is really odd.

Ps3 here, have the bug - this without having used any re-spec. Experimented with re-spec to check if that would solve the issue(before I know it had to do with the friendbonus), but alas didn't.

Stopped playing, seeing how slowmoHawke isn't exactly my powerhouse of awesome anymore. Can't even finish a decent attack(animation) anymore before getting killed.

Then you wouldn't see the problem in the first place. It arises when you remove Isabella and add her back a whole lot while she's got the friendship ability.

Yea these bugs are impossible to miss! I am on my first playthrough and have been hit with the following bugs.

-If I revive anyone by using a spell or mythals favor potion, they are treated as if out of combat and constantly regenerate health at absurd rates, and it also bugs out their ability to attack.

-Grouping with Sebastian who has a friendship bonus progressively lowers your damage resistance over time. You eventually get into the negatives.

-Grouping with Isabella who has a friendship bonus progressively lowers your attack speed until you are slow as molasses.

-If I use the makers sigh respec potion on my mage I somehow end up with way more ability points and specialization points then I should have.

-If I give my companions an order and they are stunned, knocked back, or interrupted in some way then the order I gave them is completely ignored.

-If I select all party members and right click on the ground, I often have to do it 10 times before the game registers that I clicked upon the ground. Many places on the ground do not register

-Ranged companions idiotically move into melee range of enemies

-Telling teamates to hold position sometimes results in them doing absolutely nothing but standing there.

-Spamming abilities (repeatedly hitting the ability hotkey) causes your character to shuffle in place if out of range

-Casting silence on an enemy who is already in animation for casting a spell/cability does not interrupt the spell/ability, making the spell go through and the reactive nature of silence worthless. It can only be used pre-emptively.

-Casting cleanse next to an enemy mage who is barrier'd does not remove the barrier.

-Tactics rearranging themselves and getting disorganized, especially if you move them around. If you move just one tactic, often several tactics switch orders and sometimes the entire tactic changes itself.

This is from 1 playthrough and Im not even done with act 2.

That explains how I got squishier later in the game, I experienced the attack speed reduction in basically the final area but didn't have her in my party though.

I still have Isabella's "friend" bonus even though she left with the relic.  I am not seeing any sign of the bug other than that -- no reductions in anything.

I have used the Maker's Sigh potion on a few characters, once each, and have not seen any issues.

This issue is obliquely mentioned in the read me under "Known Bugs". It says something like:

In some circumstances your Hawke may get a negative damage resistance value.

So they have known about it for a while. Just hope "a while" doesn't mean "before we went gold".

Hopefully we see a patch soon, with fixes for all this and the bugged quest/cutscene ordering on a couple of companions all listed in the change notes.

I had the same bug come up b/c Isabella was in my main group in Act II and III... and Sebastian also played a rotating role in the group due to his sidequests. The only way to fix the bug was to use the saved game editor. You can find it here:

Tried replicating this in my game and failed (I'm on PC). Added and removed Isabela about 10 times, so that should have dropped my attack speed by 50% if the bug is indeed because the bonus is removed but not applied properly. Went into combat immediately after that and attack speed didn't change one bit.

Since the test I've added and removed Isabela from the party at least half a dozen more times and still not seeing any change. It's clear that the friendship bonus + adding/removing Isabela from the party isn't sufficient to trigger the bug. There must be other things going on here. Hope I luck out with my next playthroughs if Bioware hasn't fixed the bug by then.

I haven't tested the Sebastian bug yet (don't think I'm at friendship with him yet) but I plan on doing it soon.

So has anyone figured out why this happens and how to avoid it? Does it affect xbox versions of DA2?
I want to romance Isabela in my "Destiny" Hawke playthrough.

I don't have this bug at all. As an archer my attacks are slow enough that it would be quite noticeable if my attacks were taking longer. That doesn't seem to be happening. Of course, I haven't use Maker's Sigh since she gained the friendship bonus.

It can happen regardless of system (Devs have confirmed this in the different platform tech forums) for more information on how the bugs occur: http://social.biowar...9070/11#6600353
