Yeah I probably should have added some of my strategy and such. It's late and I'm tired, so I'll post builds tomorrow
First thing is buy a lot of potions(health, mana, stamina).
My party was Archer Hawke, Fenris with the Razer, Varric, Anders/Merrill(Used both, either works for different reasons).
A huge part of my strategy was rotating the -dmg resistance debuff between Merrill and Hawke(go assassin), so they're up at time where I can sit and whack the boss.
Before you enter phase 1, make sure dog is up. When you first enter phase 1, if you just sit at the spot you spawned in, the boss will teleport to your right and stay there. I mostly spammed Pinning Shot.
Make sure you get everyone to the crate pillar for phase 1.5, use this time to pot up, bring dog up if he's dead, and get everyone in position.
Phase 2 with adds up and boss in dormant form, have Merrill or Anders toss up their mark on the boss. If you have Anders, activate haste, have Hawke activate the +100% crit thing from the assassin tree, and have Hawke and Varric used Pinning shot, while letting Fenris pop everything he has and have Anders use Winter's Chill.
Once the boss goes ball form, have your ranged move slightly behind him if he's rolling to you so you don't have to move too much and don't get hit by AoE. Take out adds, with Varric(they should be dying in 2-3 hits from Varric), toss up your other mark on the boss with Hawke and auto attack/pinning shot when up. Stamina potting whenever it's up. Keep up this movement patten, if you do it right then you don't have to move much at all and Fenris will be the only one taking damage.
Phase 2.5 is the same thing as 1.5.
Phase 3 is tricky, but mostly the same as phase 2. You don't want your ranged anywhere near the crate pillar. When the boss rolls to your ranged, the pillar should be in the way so just move the direction he is and out of AoE range. If one of your ranged has aggro, run them through the boss but make sure you don't get hit, this way you're back behind a pillar. When he sucks you in, you can stay in a certain spot, depending on your distance from the pillar, and not get sucked in. If he teleports on you, get behind the nearest pillar and hit him. Spam stamina potions and nukes on Fenris when able.
Phase 3.5 add positioning is very different. You want to hide on either pillar on the opposite side of the crate pillar. When the beam is over, move your ranged in between the 2 pillars that aren't near the 3 grouped adds at the top and bottom. Then, continue on as normal.
And the rest is the same.
With Anders you're grabbing pretty much any Aura you can with 1 nuke, and with Merrill you're dumping everything into magic and nuking the boss hard. I think I was a few seconds faster with Merrill, but that was my 2nd try and I was more used to the positioning and movement, so I'll have to try again. You do more HP pot spamming(on Fenris mostly, your ranged shouldn't be taking damage) if you use Merrill. That's why there's not a drastic difference in time with 4 dps compared to 3 1/2(Ander's Auras and Haste are amazing, almost acting as another dps).
When(if) you pause, you shouldn't be paused for more than 4 seconds. Know your hotkeys, move fast, and the fight is a breeze.
Make sure your 2 ranged rogues have max attack(or close to it) while not suffering too much in other stats. Missing too much when the boss is in dormant form will drag the fight on.
So yeah, I'll probably go more in depth with builds, items and such tomorrow when I'm more awake.
I can probably do it in 6 min with flawless movement, positioning, and a little luck with ball rolls. Also, going to try a diffrent type of build with Anders and Merrill that should make it faster.
