For some reason I cant import my guy from Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2. If it helps any, I'm playing ME1 on steam, and ME2 not.

You need to open the ME2 config then savegame import, then go to the documents folder where bioware mass effect 1 save games are , the autosaves are registrated there .
