Look at this screen.

I remember fighting this boss on PS3 (supposedly the least good looking from all the platforms) and I could clearly see some sort of lighting ray showing where it's not safe to be. Sorry don't know how to describe it more accurately.

My video card is a GTX 275 and I play on highest settings I can get.

[Update]: Here's how it looks like on PS3 (bad quality screen)

there generally seems to be a lack of lighting effects in this game at least on pc, it's a bit sad because
the graphics are pretty nice otherwise.

I know what you mean, the lighting is pretty weird at times and can destroy entire scenes.

I always thought the PC version is functioning as intended.

Huh. When I fought that boss there was the lighting, and I was on the lowest settings.

Change to dx9 shader and voila it looks like the ps3 version.

I'm surprised, how come it looks better in DX9? Hey, I shouldn't be surprised after all.

Indeed, again proves the point that dx11 is just an after thought. :(

Well my crappy old rig can't handle dx11 anyway so ti doesn't bother me as much haha.
