I never said that. Go though all my posts I never said that. All that I have said is i find the act, the act disgusting. Not the person. geez

And that makes it better?

Someone might find pooping disgusting, but that doesn't mean they find people disgusting.

Aren't we above throwing fits about not wanting to share?

But aren't you throwing a fit right now about not wanting to share these boards with people you deem homophobic?

If you find pooping disgusting I don't think you're really very mature (at least where your body is concerned).

If you prefer not to discuss pooping, or poop. If you would prefer to not watch someone, or yourself poop. That's understandable... but to say:

"A bodily function is disgusting." I don't know - it just seems immature to me.

Wow really? I know plenty of MATURE adults that poop! Furthermore, that isn't really a valid point there.

It's not a matter of maturity, disgust is an instinct which helps organisms to avoid disease.  There is a difference between being too disgusted to defecate and having the sense not to rub it on your face.

The whole Bi thing kinda did feel forced for me in example when i went to give Fenris his first gift which was a book I only had Flirt option that gave Friendly points the other 2 options gave me Rival points. Not sure if its a bug or wtf but why do i have to flirt with him if I want to get Friendly points and not Rival out of that quest?

In DA2, you can converse a bit, get a hot make out scene mid Act 2 and then nothing else but a couple of conversations after and one final convo at the end game. Not a lot of nookie (once in 10 years) for Hawke in there.

Twice actually if you have a threesome with isabela and Zevran. Image IPB

LOL I romanced Sebastian and Fenris in my 2 playthroughs. This time I will be doing Isabella. I'm assuming the threesome is an option after you spare Zevran and kill the Antivans after him? or are you referring to the threesome in DAO?  In which case for the latter, that was not Hawke but the Warden.

They seem to be punishing players for NOT pursuing homosexual relationships.

During Anders' first ambient conversation at his clinic you eventually get to a set of speech options. Two of them are flirting and the third tells him you're not interested. I got 15-25 rivalry points depending on what I said earlier for saying "No brah, I don't want your dick inside me." I reloaded multiple times just to see if you could avoid this and as it turns out, no, you cannot if you want to talk to Anders at all at his clinic.

They seem to be punishing players for NOT pursuing heterosexual relationships then.

Female PCs get the same conversation.

The only reason to complain about this is when you can't give someone the polite "no" without taking a ding into rivalry. That part was really not needed. But beyond that I couldn't much care.

Yeah, it happens after you spare Zevran and kill the Antivans. It's a pretty funny scene. Hawke, Isabela & Zevran walk off to do their thing but Anders and Varric (or whoever you have with you) are awkwardly left standing there like "uh...what just happened".  Image IPB

I want to know why there are desire demons all over the damn place, and you can't get laid by even ONE of them. At least in DA:O you could if you were a mage, and were willing to let Connor be taken in several years. ;)

No seriously for those of us who like straight romaces we all got screwed over big time. Before I go any further let me clarify this is not a condemnation of homosexuality or bisexuality by any means.

Now sure your Hawke is female you can romance Anders or what have you, but it isn't a truely straight romance. Every romance option is bi, and it's just not the same knowing Anders or Fenris will flirt with male Hawke just as much.

Bottomline it is disgusting and I'm a tad upset there is not a single straight person in the game, and frankly there isn't anyone that I want to romance because of it. It's a shame really.

So, you're disgusted because your partner in a heterosexual relationship *could* have a homosexual relationship potentially, but they don't -they choose to be with you? So, you mean its the thought that disgusts you and not any actual actions. Ok well you're attitude disgusts me. Straight relationships did not "get screwed" only your warped perceptions of them. Another example of someone who is disgusted by a thought in their head that people might be different. Didn't like it? Tough. Imagine being gay and feeling disgusted by those around you every single day.

I wasn't comparing gay people to poop, if that's what you are indeed implying.  I was just using the poop example to point out a hole in the logic of whichever argument I was replying to.

Seems nowadays that if you don't support homosexual relationships then you are seen as old-fashion, little pathetic religious boy/girl with no comprehension of thought, or generally hated for not being accepting, or on the other hand you can support homosexual relationships and be seen as "progressive" or someone who lives in the 21th century and have most everyone love you. Myself, i do not support homosexual relationships, but am I going to freak out because a game developer may it possible to pursue that road, no (not saying that anyone in particular on this thread is "freaking out") , but i agree with OP it would have been nice to have more straight options. Making everyone bi seems to be the lazy way of doing it.

You know, same gender relationships don't really interest me and in fact I find it disturbing.

I don't mind that they chose to have the characters be bi due to the fact that not everyone has the same opinion on the matter, but the male characters hitting on my male character was a bit off-putting to me.

It would not have been that much more difficult for bioware to add a checkbox in the game options for whether or not people wanted to experience certain relationship types. I mean they did put a helmet toggle in a checkbox after all.

So let me get this straight (HA!)
You don't want to romance any of the romancable characters because of what equates to multiple realities?

Because for LadyHawke there's no "canon bisexuality" as you put it. Neither of the dudes can hit on dudehawke if he doesn't exist.
Conversely if you play dudehawke then Merril is totally straight because she has no ability to hit on your alternate reality opposite sex self.
Unless you metagame which is silly because by that logic of "The alternates exist therefore the combination must be true" Hawke would be an intersexed Battlemage with stealth capabilities and schrodingers siblings who are alive and dead simultaneously.

So I'm going to go out on a limb here and say:
A: You do not subscribe to the multiverse theory
or
B: You're very lonely...

Because in an omniverse comprised of inifite alternate universes the math demands that everyone be gay in at least one. It also demands there be one where Jimi and Janis are still alive which is a much better universe than ours.

There's also the problem of something like 70% of the population having at least 1 same-sex sexual encounter in their life time. Oh and the studies that show over 50% of self-defined gay men have not had sex with another man.
And don't even get me started on the strictly heterosexual couples who purchase... toys... that mimic gay sex while being totally straight because she's still a lady no matter how big her.... Anyway it's the act that counts right so those guys are out too.

It must be very confusing for you to try to date....

I wouldn't mind a check box at all... so all the females in these games would stop flirting and start doing something productive. Okay.. just Isabela, but I figured since everyone was overreacting to nonsense I would too.

If I could have check boxed Liara into friendship land instead of being tricked into a relationship by being nice - I would have been a much happier Shepard.

I like the scenes that are just awkward in one way or another (and I am totally trying this manuever this playthrough).  I like it when you say or do something and the rest of them behind you are all standing there, shuffling their feet, doing that 'hand to the forehead' awkward thing.Image IPB
