@fathomless: Hm. Good one... I think that gay sex is considered 'progressive', simply because for so long it was thought of as taboo, and only now are people beginning to accept it.

On a different topic, idk. I'm a bisexual female that prefers men, but I get angry when people bash people who love who they love. 

I'm sure none of you intended to do that, but I think that if people (including myself) put a little more thought in to what they were posting and how offensive it may or may not be to another person, we would avoid this sort of mass argument in the first place.

I think it's good that people get to have what they want. It's a good idea, because people had to mod DA:O to get more than just Leliana and Zevran as their same sex lovers. It's a game...we should get at least a LITTLE bit of what we want. lol

Anders made it very clear in Awakening that he likes the ladies and now all of a sudden he is a ******. Its annoying as all hell. I also dont like how Iam trying to start a bromance with Anders and he starts hitting on my dude by the second conversation. I will however applaud the dialogue system as being a big step up from DAO as I ended up having to be harsh on Zevran in Origins when he asked me to "join him in his tent" because I apparently hit on him at some point.

For starters, he never equivocally states that he's 100% dude-only if he hits on you, and so '******', as you so delicately put it, is not the correct term for his sexuality.

If you shut him down the first time he tries, it won't come back up again constantly. Christ, you people make it sound like he's tying himself to your bed and smothering himself with whipped cream in an attempt to seduce your Hawke.

Subjective sexuality is based on the lack of evidence. That's how it can exist.

By this definition, Leliana had subjective sexuality because many people who romanced her as men didn't realize she liked women. Yet, most posters, and the developers, refer to her as bisexual.

And seriously, lack of evidence is evidence enough? As reasoning goes, that's paper thin.

We have three love interests (Sebastion, Isabela, and Anders) who have a defined sexuality. The idea that the other two have subjective sexuality just because they don't talk about/remember other lovers is a bit of a stretch.

It's just as likely that Merrill doesn't discuss her attraction to a gender other than Hawke's because she's not one to talk about her sexual attractions for other people.

As for Fenris, doesn't he have a banter about sleeping with Isabela even if you play a male Hawke?

Well he does mention he had relations with that Karl guy but on several occasions in Awakening he hits on the ladies but never advances on the guys. As for the word ******, if its offensive Iam sorry, I just see it as a shortened version of the word Homosexual.

Other than Isabela, Anders is the only one who hits on you in conversation even if you dont make a move. It can be disturbing for straight guys and gals.

With all due respect, I have to wonder if you're misunderstanding the concept of subjective sexuality?

It simply means their sexuality is never named and can therefore be left to the imagination. It's really nothing as complicated as you want it to be.
My argument was never that "lack of evidence is evidence enough", it was that lack of evidence is the definition of subjective sexuality.

I understand disliking Anders hitting on you, but I have very little sympathy for you being disturbed when someone politely says they find you attractive.

I have never met that many bi people in my life.

Seriously BIoware make a few not so obvious decisions that decide the sexuality of certain characters.
For example.
FLirting with random male npc as a male dictates the sexuality of the LI that comes along later....
Or you could go with.
