*spoilers ahead for those not finished with the game* I recently did the ten swords quest and was rewarded with a Bassrath-Kata bow, when every ability I have is in dual weilding for my rogue. The book shows you can be rewarded with either a bow or a dagger, is there a way to make sure you get one or the other or is it just tough luck?

my guess its which ever one you have more point in the tallent tree for it

I thought this as well but since I'm running a Female hawke and she uses a great sword with the great sword tree filled out and only a couple of items in the long sword I don't think this is the case. You see I was given a long sword and don't use one. Only other fighter in the game is Fenris and he uses a great sword as well.

I done this with a rouge & was given the dagger. It looked like a spear-head....sorry i cant help. I assume it might be random.
