For me, there are two.
We apparently have a Gorim 2.0 in Dragon Age 2, hiding behind the clever name of Xenon in the Black Emporium. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore BE (considering how I'm one of those people ready to start all over again if something like the angle of their characters' eyebrows is off), but honestly.
Everytime you enter the Emporium, there's Xenon ready to give completely random comments, which is great and all, and was interesting for the first visit or so, but considering how he only has about three comments to make, it gets bloody annoying after a while. The voice doesn't really help either. It's truly wonderfully voice acted, but it's way too thick for me to still be able to enjoy it after hearing it a couple of times. I can honestly picture my Hawke getting infuriated by it as well.
(Xenon: The tem--
Hawke: I WILL BREAK YOUR FACE IF YOU SPEAK ONE MORE WORD.)
Another thing is Carver. I get the whole rivalry thing, and am still admiring how he was written, but I reeeally wanted to throw something sharp at him when you encounter him in the Deep Roads during Nathaniel's quest. Not to mention when he gets abducted by Grace. Seriously? Hawke just dragged your ass to the Grey Wardens because she didn't want to lose you, then went on and saved your skin again when you got abducted by those Blood Mages, and all you have to comment on is standing in her friggin' shadow? How it was her fault that he's a Grey Warden now (instead of what, dying an agonizing death by the taint?)
Someone has yet to get out of puberty.
Anyone else having similar experiences with a companion, or a NPC?
Please bear in mind this is with the intent of being a 'light' thread, not a 'bashing' thread. While the above characters can indeed frustrate me, it doesn't mean I don't appreciate them.
Edit: Some wonderful typo's there.
