Then there were a few times when people brought up the subject of mother after she'd died in horrible ways. I think Meredith was one. I seem to remember yelling 'Oh no you didn't!' at the screen.

.

Oh yeah, Meredith does. One of the few times I picked the aggressive option. I think Hawke's response is something like "Don't you dare bring my mother into this" in this gritted-teeth sort of tone. It was great.

Yeah I saw that and instantly went aggressive response.

I actually went "You know, you DO have a point..." And she did even if it was tactless to bring up Leandra. Deciding to kill everyone because Anders blew something up was way over the line but mages have committed all sorts of atrocities and brutally murdered Leandra. When Quentin taunted you by saying that Leandra knew that you'd come and save her after she already mostly died, on the other hand...*stab*

Definitely agree on Xenon!

Some of the Dalish. Being rude to Hawke aka the "dirty shemlen" was bad enough but the way they treated Merrill made me want to reach into my screen and slap them silly.

i agree my friend merrill is my favorite lover for hawk so yeah i got rather frustrated seeing both andres and the dalish treating her like **** for who she was

It wasn't "for who she is." It was for a specific decision she made which, in hindsight, was really stupid and got her Keeper killed. They didn't have a problem with Merrill herself, it was Merrill consorting with a demon who was out to kill everyone.

Both Anders and Fenris agreeing with each other that Merrill should have died when I killed the Keeper. Both were pretty vicious to her in that quest.

Wow.  I only had Anders along.  I'll have to fix that next time just to see him agree with Fenris on something.

I would have liked to kick the crap out of both Meredith and Orsinio from the beginning.

Sebastian made me want to do evil things. Especially whenever he started proselytizing. I kept hoping Flemeth would show up and crunch him into little pieces.

Nearly every line from Carver bugged me... Bodahn was extremely annoying as well. Gamlen would stand right in front of the mail and then harass me about it, thus taking a few minutes to move my character just right to select it. <_<

Anything Anders said. He's such a snively, annoying man, what with his ridiculously off-the-wall hatred of The Chantry and anything not mage or mage-like. I also didn't care much for anything Fenris said, since it was almost always constant brooding and whining about his past. There is only so much one can take before hitting melt-down. I just wanted to yell, "GET OFF IT. WE GET IT, DANARIUS SUCKS."

I also really disliked Carver and everything he ever said. Nearly everything he said had something to do with Hawke sucking because he was better, and that Carver hated the fact. He was basically Gamlen 2.0.

Sigh.

Sebastian's holier-than-thou attitude really annoyed me. REALLY. Which is a pity because I really wanted to like him, too.

I love Anders, but pretty much all of his party banter comments while he's plotting Chantry doom are horrible. (though he does make up for it by wanting to have mage babies with my character, lol)

I love Fenris too, but some of his comments to Merrill were downright uncalled for. I felt so sorry for her :(

Meredith being a bully to my mage!Hawke to get her to do her jobs for her. Grrrr.

Well to be honest it probably wasn't the best time seeing as she was already extremely distraught over her death. Anders was essentially preaching to the choir at that point. Adding insult to injury.

Sebastian. Anything and everything he has to say. I'm all for faith and believing in something higher then yourself, if not devoting yourself to a cause. Doesn't mean you have to have the personality of a doorknob and feel the need to stand on a soap box anytime you don't like the way things are going.

Anders. I had Fenris and Sebastian along for the entire third act, and every time he opened his mouth, I wanted to kick him down a flight of stairs. Comparing himself to Andraste was the worst, though. Sebastian's reaction to that and also Anders' paranoia (That cloud kind of looked like a bunny...) made it worth it, though. Doesn't retract from the fact that I wanted to shove my shield into his teeth every time he made me realize what an intolerant jackass he is, especially in comparison to Fenris and Sebastian, who were absolutely lovely to each other and to my Hawke. Urgh.

Also, blood mages in general. Scratch that, mages in general. -.- The only one I liked listening to was Bethany.

I will forever love Anders just for pointing out Sebastian has Andraste's face on his crotch. <_<

Gamlen. I help him get back with his daughter and he makes a snide remark about me "playing the girl" with Anders.

Association Fallacy.

Anyway, I have to second the guy who has been waiting all day for six years to get in. I never did notice he was kicking the wall, though. I'll have to check that out.

Everything Anders says makes me want to assault him.
(And this comes from the person who thinks Awakening Anders the best char in DA. And then came this. *sigh* )
I cannot bear the so called jokes or the constant complaining. Aaaa!

Every time you give him humoristic reply he starts banging about mistreatment of mages. *faint*
Even Justice the Just remembered humor.

I wanted to like Anders. And at first I did. Or I still do, on some level. Some part of me aches for his plight. But the way he goes on just... *sighs*. He goes on about Fenris being a hypocrite because his sister is a mage. I'm thinking 'Wut? He didn't even know the broad existed until a bit ago, and only now realized what she is. Chill, bro.' He takes his vendetta too far, prattles on about it constantly, and seems to have a savior complex going on. It sickens me. It sickens me all the more because I still like his character, and his instability is just painful to watch.

Also, on the Fen/Anders vs Merril note, I don't think either of them was being that OTT. It was a bit soon, perhaps, but the fire she's playing with burns hard. Sometimes blunt, tough truth is the only way to break through a thick skull. And I say this as someone who thinks Merril is cute as a button, and wants to hug her until she pops.

Even my laid back sarcastic Hawke gets the sudden urge to hit Fenris square in the jaw every time he opens his mouth.

For me it's pretty much everything Fenris says in Act III. What a filthy, idiotic, hypocrite. And I'm not even talking about his sister being a mage. I'm talking about the fact that he blames and hates an inanimate force for the things done to him. Magic mages as a whole didn't do jack to him, he was enslaved by a person. If his hatred had been directed where it was deserved (the Imperium, slavers, and Danarius), I wouldn't have thought him an idiot, or a hypocrite for wanting to enslave others. I so enjoyed killing him. In fact, he went down like a chump, I killed him before he got a single hit off (yay, cone of cold freeze).

However, the one time I actually wanted to reach through my monitor and beat a companion to death was when Sebastian suggested to Fenris that they turn in Merrill and Anders to the templars. And he wanted to draw straws to decide who would do it! Coward. If I had really been Hawke at that moment, I would have turned around and slit his throat right there in the middle of the Hightown market. Ironically, that's the only moment I was pleased with Fenris, because he told Sebastian he was on his own if he wanted to be an idiot and turn in Hawke's friends.

Finally, I laughed in Sebastian's face when he threatened to bring an army from Starkhaven to raze Kirkwall because I spared Anders.  He spent years trying (and failing) just trying to decide whether to return or stay.  He's no threat, he doesn't have the stones, and can't do anything for himself anyway.

Anders during Fenris' personal quest and Fenris when I was being pro-mage.
Sometimes I just wanted to do this.
