If Sibling is a Mage/Templar will they fallow you if you side against them in the end?

I sided with the mages and carver wouldn't help me. He still whined about being in my shadow.
Which response did you give when he asked you if you would kill your brother? I said "Don't 'brother' me!" and he didn't side with me until Merideth when crazy. Just trying to see if dialogue choices make a difference.

he was a warden though, so i guess he worked with some cool mages doing wardeny stuff. him spending his early 20's in the templars probably pushed him more anti-mage

OK, so what was the middle option? I think mine was the bottom option on the wheel, and yours was the top one. Maker damn me for deleting my convenient save(I got real ticked off when Carver didn't side with me, and went back about fifty saves. Foolish.)

Still not a poster child for mental health by a long stretch but it was a nice surprise anyway.

Warden Carver joined me in the city on my way to the gallows and offered to fight with Hawke. On my first game he was a templar and only sided with her when she confronted Meredith. TBH I was more surprised that Cullen jumped to her defense against Meredith, but he seems to have gotten over some of his particular brand of crazy.

Based on the replies in this thread, I think having you brother and sister in the Circle/Templars restricts whether or not they rejoin you as a companion during the endgame. I haven't heard of anyone siding with the templars and having Bethany in the Circle, but the guidebook says you can/will kill her in that situation(And what a heartless brother/sister you would have to be to do that!)
Also, sylvanaerie, may I just say your avatar photo is awsome. Go Boromir.
