Subtitles in DA2 were handled the same way as they were in DA:O. While they weren't bad, exactly, I have wondered why you can't set them up to show for ambient dialogue (NPC passersby, party banter, etc) while being absent during conversations. During the conversations, I often found myself reading the subtitles, and not paying attention to Hawke and the person s/he was talking to. As it is, you have them for everything, or just for major conversations, or not at all.
Anyone know if there is a technical reason for that? Game design limitations, or somemthing?
