I don't have any other way to describe it. I don't know if this was a feature I was not aware of but I've noticed that for some time now Hawke, when it comes to melee, starts out attacking at regular speed but as the seconds wear on, she gets slower until its about one swing per second or just over a second. Like a jog slowing to a walk as you get tired.
So far, other than ending combat, the only way I've found to reset attack speed is to cast Devour (Hawke Warrior ability)
I believe I am in Act 2, last storytelling cutscene I had was for the quest with Varric's brother and I've been ignoring attack speed problem for a while so I can't tell you exactly when it began. Currently I am on Merrill's Mirror Image quest and the problem doesn't appear to affect Merrill or Ander's attack speed, only Hawke. Latest firmware, PS3 slim, regular edition
Increasingly slow attack speed?

Known bug: http://social.biowar...0/index/6459070
Isabela's friendship bonus ("Thumbs Up") isn't applying properly, and so every time you add and then remove her from your party you're stacking a -5% attack speed. Eventually it gets painfully slow. My warrior is experiencing the same thing. I'm trying to see if there's a way to fix it - the PC guys can edit their savefile to reset their attack speed, but the savegame editor isn't yet working with PS3 saves. We'll see.
Also, I think I read somewhere that Sebastian has the same bug, but I haven't confirmed it.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope it's in the first patch (and soon)

it's been a goddamn week and still no patch. I'm facing Hybris right now and it's so damn irritating how slow my rogue Hawke is attacking!!!!
