So, just one question. I romanced Merrill, but at the end Varric said everyone left my side eventually except for Isabela, who took the relic from me and was long gone.  I presume this is a bug? If so, will this affect future save imports? Any answers from the devs would be appreciated.

Nah, it's not a bug.

BioWare is retconning your decisions early in preparation for DA3, which will probably be released in December.

That happened to my rogue but not to my mage .Then I figured out that it was because my rogue had sex with Isabella before he initiated merrils romance.

Ah, that explains it. Then it is a glitch. Will this affect future save imports? If so will there be a patch to fix it? Still waiting for a dev.

I had the exact same happen- Hooked up with Isa "just for fun," before romancing Merrill. Really, really hope this won't affect my DA3 import inaccurately.

I got the answer at the tech help forum. No need to worry, the plot log is still ok.
