If you do your part? Come on man, it's a media stunt. It's not going to fail. You think Bioware's going to set up some promotional event that could fail due to lack of interest, and embarass them? They're going to post pictures regardless.

I know, I'm just generating hype :P

The first two screenshots aren't really appealing... So why would we do this again? Better luck next time Bio. I think you guys need another marketer.

I got better things to do than to spam Facebook and Twitter and helping Bioware and EA with their free publicity stunt.

As much as I hate to admit it Polite, I'm in the same boat. A single screenshot doesn't necessarily give me a nerdgasm.

With all due respect to Bioware....that.

Too much hype for a 30 minute DLC.. *sigh* still gonna spend 1200 ms.

Agreed.

They will release the screenshot anyway, this is just a cheap way to get the buzz going.

750,000 seems kinda ridiculous for just a screenshot.

It's not really the screenshots themselves that's giving me a "nerdgasm", it's the info we already know about the DLC based on the trophies and what we could piece together from the weekly update. And actualy seeing screenshos just builds up excitement that was already there.

This is really a campaign to draw attention away from the failure of DA2 and to burry criticism of it under Mass Effect posts.

Insightfull.

For all we know this DLC could easily be the size of a proper expansion pack. Probably wishful thinking, but I for one would love to see this. I miss the days when games had actual expansions instead of nothing but DLC. Throne of Bhaal is by far and away superior to any DLC I've encountered to date. Granted that doesn't take much when the majority of DLC is frankly content that should have been in the game when it shipped, any of the armour and weapons come immediately to mind, or at the very minimum included with the Cerberus Network. If I'm paying I want proper content, things like Bring Down the Sky, Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi, and Overlord.

Check out what Rockstar offers for GTA IV or Red Dead, they're the best in the business. In fact I thought Diablo II's expansion was lacking compared to StarCraft's or even WarCraft III's, it felt much shorter.

Impressions?

That was included in the post about the first screenshot and clearly the goal was reached?

I'd go even as far as to say that the DA2 situation must have sped up the "Arrival" on its way to release by months. So we're going to see a trailer and a date real soon. It's not like they are going to see any irony in rushing a DLC to alleviate the damage from rushing a game.

And then there will be no more things to rush... and the fail will become evident.

DA2 seems to be a decent game but a compleate failure when it comes to being a decent sequel. That's it.

Can we try to stay on topic. The purpose of this topic is not the failure or success of DA2.

As for the screenshots, it's 9:40AM here, so here's to hoping another will Arrive today.

Hey EA/Bioware how about giving out a release date instead pushing out obscure photos?

Yup, it was fine the first time and even the second time. Just announce it already.

They did the same campaign for DA2 - a million trial downloads and they added some items to the game. They're not the first to do this - another favorite developer of mine promised to reveal a sequel if it got so many facebook friends. Its a useful tactic to build buzz.

Don't have a Facebook account. Take that, marketing stunt!

Anyway, I'd like to see a release date before the weekend; I am about to journey to a place with no internet over Spring Break.
