Is Anders truly dead after you kill him for blowing up the chantry. The reason I ask this is because he's possessed by Vengeance. Is it possible that Vengeance takes full control after Anders's death?

I killed him 1st then reloaded and finished the game with him by my side, cuz I romanced him and wanted him their...but, when I killed him and triggered the last scene and picked my team, he was not in the selection process. That's all I know, sorry.

We don't know. We won't know till later. However usually when you kill a possessed host, it kills the demon/spirit inside it. So...until Bioware contradicts it, I am going to say 'he's dead' (even if I don't believe that's the last we will hear of him.

Depends.

If BIoware decides he "adds" something to DA3 or some DLC, then he'll be alive.

If not, then he can stay dead.

If you kill him he leaves the party selection scene. If you send him away you have a chance to get him back. Anders and Justice are one so no Justice cannot reanimate anders corpse.

That's what I thought at first but then I was hoping I could kill Anders's a second time in a later game.

I had a quest to free Anders from Justice - but it never got finished because I went to finish the Orsino quest and it started the end game.

It really seems like he's trying to get the ingredients to make a bomb - asking me to find "Silas Petra" or whatever it was "Salt Peter"?

Anyway - can you free him from Justice? I never finished the quest.

Im pretty sure that it doesnt actually kill the demon or spirit. It just sends them back to the Fade... at least thats the way it works in most Fantasy settings and theres no reason I see that they would change that. In the case of Justice though... *Shrug* It could go any which way. From what was said he was part of Anders though so I would assume hes just gone.
