Haven't gone through my second playthrough and I was just wondering if the chantry blows up no matter what.

I'm 99.99999999% certain the Chantry blowing up is unavoidable.

Non avoidable. It's a necessary Plot Device.

That was the whole point of the framed narrative. This is the grand culmination in my oppinion, not the fight at the gallows.

Nope. Even if you decide not to help anders he still manages to become a terrorist.

He wants to end the slavery of his people, so is it really a surprise? A thousand years of mage oppression by the Chantry, and someone finally decided that enough was enough.
