You do know if you click on a person's profile, look at their games, you can actually see their characters if they have uploaded their data. And you can see their skills and equipment too if you further examine their chracters

Yeah, I know, but not everyone's profile is public. Plus I just want to see how other players spec'ed their Hawke's

Well I'd love to share because my freaking profile won't activate!  :(  So now that I have an excuse to post my build, here are my spells... I got them in this order... mostly:

Level 25 (Blood Mage + Force Mage)

Mind Blast (Stunning Blast around level 10 with a spell tome)
Chain Lightning
Heal
Rock Armor
Tempest
Chain Reaction
Stone Fist
Petrify
Strikes Twice
Galvanism
Blood Magic
Blood Sacrifice
Grim Sacrifice
Hemorhage
Paralyzing Hemorrhage
Fist of the Maker
Unshakable
Grave Robber
One Foot In
Bloodlust
Greater Heal
Fireball
Firestorm
Hex of Torment
Heroic Aura
Valiant Aura

And my ending stats were:  19 STR, 19 DEX, 64 MAG, 20 CUN, 41 WIL, 47 CON (310 HP, 425 Mana)
Finally, equipment:  Corrupted Acolyte's Staff, Revolutionist's Cap, Gloves of the Champion, Robes of Unblemished Cleanliness, and Boots of the Champion

Oh, and those stats are all +7 due to a Valiance rune...

Did you use that level up potion to get to level 25? Or is that all from quests?

No that was from questing... I gave Isabela to the Arishok, so I never had access to Ambrosia >.>
It was cool though... I got the final level right before I walked into the courtyard to fight Meredith... lol.
And I could have had one more spell but I didn't see the tome in act 1 until I was way too low on money to buy it!  Oh well.  This was good enough.

Hmm, makes sense, I did skip all the Fenris, Isabella and Anders side quests (other than the first) on my second playthrough and missed a couple of thing like the Arwegian scrolls etc, and finished at level 22.

So are those Force Mage powers cool? I didn't really get a chance to try any of it... I also wanted Crushing/Paralyzing Prison, but I just ran out of points... had to buy other stuff.

I. frigging. love. them.

It's not for everyone, I'll say that much. I initially went with them because... you know, Star Wars. I am that shallow. However, since I didn't want to respec any of my group, and because I have a core Hawke/Anders/Varric team, meaning that for some companion quests we have to play Pass the Aggro, I needed to offset Anders's dpsing. Force Mage is AMAZING for large crowd control. I mentioned it in another thread, but when you're being overwhelmed, Pull of the Abyss + Cone of Cold + Fist of the Maker = I win. Pull of the Abyss brings them into the circle of the AoE, so you can center it around you, pull those suckers in, and blast them with the strength of an ice age. Lower level baddies go down fast and it can let tanks focus on bigger threats. If there's anyone left, you can mind blast them and run away to start anew. Plus, if you're a spirit healer, Force Mage spells aren't considered offensive and you can still use them to aid your party if you need to keep Healing Aura on.

Whoa, you can use force magic with healing aura active? Yeah, I'm going to have to try that sometime... My team was based around myself and Fenris, because he gets a ridiculously high critical rate that can be used to set up massive stagger combos. Lightning and Blood Magic are perfect for taking advantage of that... but I'd like to try some other setups too, and you made force magic sound pretty cool. Crowd Control mage sounds good.

My mage Hawke was evil.

Full Elemental (except Golem's Fist), Full Force Mage, Dispell Magic, Horror. Second specialization: Spirit Healer, but no points there. Believe me, the "slow AoE" on the force mage tree is AMAZING.

Mainly played (on Hard) with Fenris tanking (full 2 hander tree, taunt, Pommel Blow and his full special tree but the spirit AoE). Fenris caused Stagger all the time, Hawke exploded stuff with Chain Lightning and Fist of the Maker CCC.

Completed with Anders as full healer (heal part in his special tree + heal and upgrades), force field and arcane shield with all upgrades, plus Dispell with upgrade against magic users (helped me a LOT).

The 4th slot was any rogue usually or Merril if I knew hard boss fights would happen (she was almost full Entropy, AKA bosses become joke), plus Dispell and Petrify with upgrade, with other points in her special tree, specially to save mana using her version of blood magic.

Yeah. I was very happy about that because I hate spamming auto shot; one of the reasons why a lot of my spells don't have upgrades is because I prefer having lots of spells versus less, but more powerful. >.>

Force Magic spells are situational; Pull of the Abyss is a mana waste unless you're fighting a sizeable amount of baddies; telekinetic blast is more useful for preventing yourself or an ally from being overcome, but the aoe is small. Gravatic Ring is also more useful with a lot of bad guys, in terms of area versus mana efficency- no point in using it for less than five enemies.
