Flemeth is Andraste!

It actually makes perfect sense and theres several clues in the game.

1) The statues of Andraste look just like DA2 Flemeth
2) The Elves worship Flemeth and have a special title for her
3) Flemeth has a history along similar lines of Andraste, straight down to being betrayed by her beloved.
4) Flemeth seems to have a foresight of whats going to happen in the world and is the person who sets things into motion.
5) Morrigan found out who Felemeth really was, and what was coming in the future of the world, then freaked and bailed thru a mirror. (She says as much in the end of witch hunt)

What I think happened:

Upon being burned at the stake, The Maker resurrected Andraste back into the world because she was his special one, and she still serves him by putting things into motion behind the scenes and taking a new name so no one suspects.

:EDIT: Read The Quotes Below from the first game, they even hint at it.

Flemeth
: Yes, men desired Flemeth then, and some even killed for her....
Warden
: Are you sure they didn't die from horror?
Flemeth
: You will need that smart mouth for more than asking me silly questions.

Flemeth: Considering what the world has done to me, I have already done more than it deserves.
Warden
: And what has the world done to you?
Flemeth
: That is between the world and me.

I think my mind just imploded! Now I'll always think of Flemeth when I'm dealing with the Chantry! Love this theory.

Go back to Dragon Age: Origins and read the stories of Andraste, Flemeth, and Lothias Dwarfson (specifically the mention of his wife Scaea)

They're all VERY similar.

Given Andraste's almost Christ-like quality - Flemeth is also likely the Maker.

Yah that was exactly my point.
Plus how was Flemeth able to store a piece of herself in the amulet with Hawke and be standing there at the same time unless she was somehow otherworldly

Eh, I don't think they're clues so much as Flemeth's so damn vague that she could be the Lord of the Rings and we wouldn't know for sure.

I'm not against the idea, but I always saw Flemeth as being a force of nature itself, neither good nor evil, but a part of the thread of existence. She can't be destroyed.

So, say that Flemeth is Andraste or the Maker or whomever you like.
What(or who) does that make Sandal? Posted Image

Isn't it obvious?

The very first Dwarf mage and has a affinity for enchanting :)
He was able to kill multiple darkspawn with his enchanting runes and the frozen ogre which he said "Not Enchantment", was obviously frozen due to his magic ability.

I Believe since dwarves normally don't have the capability to be mages, that might be why Sandal is partially retarded.

This would just blow the lore out of the water. Kinda would hate to see Flemeth be revealed like this. I want her dead as road kill. But, how could I kill Andraste? I never made a character that was religious, but I have limits.

Flemeth never says so much as one word about the Maker (as far as I can remember). Sure she may be trying to lie low or something, but Andraste was His most dedicated believer (and if "He" exists then she was also his chosen prophet). I just couldn't see Andraste returning and being able to keep quiet about her faith - her faith is what defined her whole life. I mean, Jesus wouldn't come back and then not mention God lol

Whatever she is, she has a hyge part to play in Dragon Age... I am looking forward to see more of Captain Janeway... Flemeth, later in Dragon Age.
There are so many theories about her and I look forward to seeing which are true =)

It's plausible. I also wouldn't be surprised if Morrigan turned out to be a Magister of the ancient Tevinter Imperium (perhaps ressurected or reincarnated), attempting to keep Flemeth from reclaiming the Black City with the Maker. Perhaps Morrigan planned to seize the seat and finish what the Magisters originally started, ages beforehand.

I just see the story moving towards Morrigan turning out to be the real bad guy, and Flemeth the actual good guy.

Which would actually be really cool.
