 In the CG trailer, there is a move where Hawke (magically?) rips people apart. His arms appear on both sides of the Qunari and grab him forcefully and it is implied that he is split apart. Is this ability actually in the game? If so, what is it called? I've been trying to figure this out for days. Thanks!

Since he carved something in his arm before doing it, I'm guessing its related to blood magic. If that's the case, I haven't seen that ability in the game for blood mages.

I thought it was blood magic too, but there is no ability there that fits the description.

It's not something you can do in the game, but it looked cool in the cinematic I believe mage Hawke does the same thing (or at least something very similar) when you defeat that ogre in the tutorial.

It would be cool to have as an added spell in an expansion. Probably blood magic. Have it function like Power Word: Kill from DnD where if you cast it at a monster with less than say 150 HP (or a % or however they feel is balanced) it's an instant kill.

I heard some people say its crushing prison's finishing animation, I can't confirm it though.

It was in their early concept art as well. They were clearly planning on including it in the game.
