Ok so I know there are a lot of post about companion armors, but I'm being lazy and not looking through them all. I've noticed that when I finish a companions questlines, it tells me Recieved "whatever their armor is" I'm thinking maybe this is a glitch and you're supposed to get the alternate armors even if you don't romance them. Anyone have info on this?

I have noticed it too, but after I romanced Isabela, had the romp in the mansion's bedroom. An afterwards it said that, so I was thinking maybe Hawke was able to receive a version of their armors, that would have been cool.

Perhaps it is in there to tell you they got a new outfit, but Isabella doesn't get a new one, at least I haven't noticed a change

I've heard of the potion respec. Using it on Bela after the romp will get the costume to show. I wonder if it works for the others too.

You sure it wasn't mentioning armor upgrade, cause Merril only gets her white armor after asking her to move in with you, and Anders doesn't change till after his companion quest in Act 3.

yeah I've gotten the upgrades, this is different. I know Merril and Anders are dependent on those factors but I've seen it happen with Fenris and Varric on this playthrough.
