If you didn't screw up the romance he'll continue it in act 3.
As far as I know.

Fenris leaving IS apart of the romance. This is why his is the better one. He feels guilty for "using" you to achieve some peace. But he is thrown off by the sudden emergence of his past from his night with you. Just keep on the flirts and **** slap any Slaves and he'll puppy dog eye back into your heart.
It is possible to get him to stay too, I just don't know how. Here's the scene where he stays for proof:

Ya , I know he leaves after the sex scene. But with my playthroughs he is at Hawke's house after the bitter quest pill abd says he should leave after the end of the convo even when i select all the heart options. So does he come back after he leaves my house(after the bitter pill quest) ?
If you're still in Act 2, try going back to your estate at night, he should come back and initiate the romance.

Wrong video or am I not understanding what you mean by "leave"? I thought we were talking about his departure after the sex.

Oh, no he always leaves after the sex I think, lol. But most of the time, when you ask him not to leave at that point he does, but then will come back later for the sex, where in that video Hawke got him to stay and they activated an alternate version of the scene then. Which is what the OP was referencing, that he always left with no sex.

"I don't see what hawke sees in you"
"It is done with"
....something along the lines of "good" or "easy"

I had this issue last night, first playthrough romanced him fine. Got into act 2 again last night, flirted with isabela once adn the fenris romance didnt happen, reloaded didnt flirt with isabela and got the sex scene, so i think you cant flirt with anyone else in act 2....
You can flirt. The sex scene works differently though. He'll storm out but after you leave your estate and come back to the estate he'll be there and THEN you get the sex scene. Flirting is too much fun to not do with other companions.

Oh really?! I got into such a panic.....cos the last flirt option "dont go" didnt come up and he said we were friends?
I thought I had screwed up, is that not the case? does he come back again?

If the Don't Go option didn't come up then you probably screwed it up unfortunately. Did you get his rivalry all the way up, flirt with him whenever possible, give him his gift, give the slave girl coins during "A Bitter Pill", and let him decide how to end the mission during "A Bitter Pill?" Only if you've done all that I believe can you activate the romance scene.
