Not looking for a spoiler answer.  Just noting that, if she is, she's a bit, umm, harsh-looking.   She's no Leliana with the giant kissy lips.


Speaking of which, why can't I make my own lips Angelina Jolie-esque?  They're maybe Renee Zellweger-after-plumpitude-early-in-her-career-followed-by-15-years-of-deflation-through-no-maintenance.

On one playthrough, I sold off his armor and left him in camp.  Then comes the showdown with the various Lords, and there's a cut scene where you all walk into this big room and he does a spin around with a serious look on his face, like don't mess with us.  In his underwear.  I lol'd for half an hour.

Oh man, now I'm not going to get the idea of Russel T Davies writing the romances in this game out of my head.

I do actually think it's pretty stupid. DA2 has taken great steps to make the other characters feel like their own people, not little wish-fulfillment puppets for the player, but this is a step in the opposite direction. I think it's great to have same-sex relationships in games but it makes it seem more like fetish fulfillment than open-mindedness. One of the things about romance, perhaps especially if you're gay, is that it won't always work out. They won't necessarily reciprocate. If you're gay, an obvious possibility is the other person not being gay too. And to a less likely extent, if you're straight, the person you like might actually be gay. I'm not saying people are defined by their sexuality, but their sexualities should be theirs, not the whim of the player.

I really like Morrigan, but she has such tiny eyes! Like, half the size they should be. She looks a lot better in her pre-rendered and concept art forms.

Really?  I thought Fenris and Anders were both sexy in their own way ... mind you, playing a gay male I'd certainly go with Anders - Fenris seems more like someone I'd pursue as a woman.  

And I really liked Merrill, which made it sad when I slept with her and broke her heart for preference of Isabela. (Isabela is simply a better rogue love interest IMO; besides which, she is a strong, independant woman, and that is a turn on for me every time ... well, almost every time, wasn't a big fan of Morrigan)

The only banters I've heard are of Isabela (playfully) rejecting Fenris on the basis that all that spiky armor has been known to come off. Apparently, she likes spiky armor.

I can't lie, the biggest attraction to get the PC version is for the inevitable wincest mod. Personally, I kind of see Fenris/Anders as equivalent to Isabela/Merrill. It's like dangerous/homely at first glance but then you realise it's "misunderstood"/god damn lethal.

My favorite banter is between Aveline and Merrill. I don't remember all of it, but it involves Merrill asking Aveline if she hangs out with Hawke because she's fond of Hawke. And then Merrill's all "I'm fond of Hawke."

And Aveline says "Keep it to yourself."

And then Merrill says "I'd rather keep it with her."
