I wouldn't buy it. I wouldn't pay anything for it

(unless it changes the main game so you can stab him as soon as you see him, then I would buy it).

No. Just no. Anders is dead. Only way he'd be back is if he'd be like that Kristoff dude that Justice inhabited in Awakening and that'd be totally unforgivable. Just let the poor guy rest.

I wouldn't buy it either. I'm just not interested in having any more of DA2 Anders at all.

On my list of priorities, it would be ranked below DLC about Emile de Launcet's one day of freedom and his futile attempts to get laid. Or maybe one where you just run around Lowtown as Hubert and call everyone 'Ferelden dog'.

I'd totally buy this, and I have never bought a DLC, ever.

I enjoy anything that expands on a character, I like getting to know more about them. I really liked Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt (got them with the Ultimate Edition).

Didn't choose to romance Anders this time, but I really do like his character and feel for him. I fully support a DLC that redeems him, someway, somehow =D

I would be over that like white on rice! His character was so tragic, it broke my heart really. I wanted to do something. I didn't care if it meant having him and Hawke going all the way to Tevinter(I know I spelt it wrong >.<)

I think after all he and Justice have been through, they both need peace.

There can be no peace.

I imagine that, at this point, Justice can't really be removed from Anders. Outside of death.

True enough, but one can hope, and you never know I have seen things far more impossible happen in games lol.

But I see your point

I'd really like to see Anders redeemed somehow. I felt so bad for him.

I'm quite sure a good writer can create at least a dozen of way to free him. And a dozen of motivations why he could be freed. C'mon, I myself found a couple already! :D

I'd also argue a good writer knows when to let consequences stand ;P

Yes I would absolutely buy a DLC about freeing Anders of/defeating Justice! Anders was my favorite character in Awakening and I loved his misguided, tragic storyline in DA2 (even though I was worried about the changes at first.) Please let me redeem him, he's the Apostate Clyde to my Bonnie! :3

If I were Justice, inhabiting Anders, I would certainly do everything in my power to a) have him appear to be (mostly) Anders and B) convince said body that we were one, and his only freedom was death. It is imperative to my survival to have him believe that in fact. :)

That said, if I were Varric, I would hang out at the Hanged Man, listening to refugees stories, drinking too heavily and concocting complete fabrications out of the snippets of overheard truths. Done of course to create epic tales about the far too common people sitting around me, also drinking too heavily, as they attempt to out-wait the political upheaval in the city of Kirkwall..... Because after all, who would buy a story without a villian or a hero that dies? And what is a forum without a hearty dose of retcon tears?

;)

I'd buy it.  I'm exceptionally easy with blonde mages though.  Whoops.

Oh so have I so have I.  My personal fave involves Flemeth.  I swear that woman is the Maker or the demon of "**** all"

And I could answer that a good writer also knows that he/she gets paid when his/her audience is happy with what he/she writes... but that wouldn't be nice, would it? :P

Anyhow, I will never get tired of telling anyone that though I didn't like what I call "Act 3 Anders", I don't want to change a single comma about his story, I just want to expand it and not to let it die with DA2 ending. I want redemption for him, even if it won't mean "freeing" from Justice... I'd be happy enough if he frees himself from Vengeance.

This may have been mentioned, but I'd like Anders DLC in a different way: If he survives the end of the game, kill him off in a cutscene right at the beginning of the DLC. The DLC is about the fact that without Anders as a host, Vengeance is loose as a demon, and you have to hunt him down and either redeem him (back to Justice) or destroy him. It gives you choices, moral ambiguity, and it would be available no matter how you ended the game.

BAM.

Has everyone forgotten that Justice inhabited a corpse? ;) Justice can reanimate Anders - though it may not be ANDERS. It would be Justice hijacking his body. Watch your back people...Justice is out for justice! XD

Or...vengeance. Whatever. LOL.

I'd buy that. There are good premises to revive him if dead and good reasons to do something like that if you spared him... I was also disappointed that the act didn't have consequences on him, I mean... I could see the death of the grand cleric at Anders hand coming since he asked my Hawke to distract her, and I thought that the way to separate him from Justice was for him to commit a act of great injustice (as the murder of a high prestess), when he said that justice was still there I was even more disappointed, though I spared him anyway.
A "Witch Hunt reloaded" can be made "easily" with minor changes if Anders is alive or a walking corpse sustained by justice, and the outcome will change little however his DA2 story ended (Anders dead or Anders alive and on the run, there's little option about his epilogue).

I kind of wish they had taken the framed narrative a bit further, more of those Cassandra-calls-Varric-on-it type moments like with Bartrand's estate with Varric. That was great. Maybe a DLC like that, where you have someone ELSE giving the story of what really happened with Anders (and in general), but perhaps I think that because I suspect the story we played was more full of intrigue than 100% truth. Maybe I am wrong, but I fancy the thought. =)

I think that a DLC would be awesome!
I'd kind of like to see Vengeance and Anders separated. Perhaps Hawke hears about how the Hero of Ferelden saved Arl Eamon's son from a demon, and convinces Anders to look into it? I don't know, I'd just like to see more of his story, Vengeance or not.
The only thing is, if there actually ends up being an Anders DLC, he should have his original Voice Actor again. His new voice is weird.

I'd pay A LOT of money for an Anders exorcism dlc. A lot.

If my warden saved that stupid child in Origins, my Hawke deserves to save his boyfriend. I just hope it doesn't means killing Justice. I loved him in Awakening (my favorite after Nate and Anders), it would be sad to have to kill him now.
Anyways, it would be difficult to save him... In Origins, we needed either blood magic, or a group of powerfull mages and a lot of lyrium. Anders and Justice wouldn't like to be part of a blood magic ritual (specially one that needs a sacrifice), and the Circles aren't exactly an option nowdays...

OMG, Yes times a thousand! I want more Anders dammit! I was so crestfallen when I found out that the whole 'separating from Justice' thing was a lie, I'd looove it if we got to explore that further~

I'd love some Anders dlc where we get to separate him personally. But alas I don't think it will ever happen. I think Bioware saw his storyend there and that their perceived ending was that you killed him after the Jenga chantry moment.

But I can live in hope lol.

I'd pay very good money for Anders DLC. I'm not really sure what kind of story it could be, given the seriously divided opinions, but I'm sure bioware could come up with something. One possibility is an exploration of the nature of possession, and the relationship between demons and spirits. That could potentially involve Merrill as well, thus having a link to the story even if Anders is dead.

I would surely buy any Anders DLC, but I wouldn't want to see him separated from Justice, though I understand I'm clearly a minority here. I think blaming all his controversial DA2 actions solely on spirit's influence really cheapens the character.

yes and no. It depends which path friendship/rivalry you take. It seems to be more his actions in friendship and more Justice's in rivalry. Though at the end of the day Anders made a really foolish decision in joining with the spirit in the first place.
