Console Code or Savegame Edit to Give Lockpicking/Trap Disarming?

I hate the hassle of whenever I happen upon a locked chest I click it, my rogue says "let me handle that", but they don't actually come handle it... I have to select them, run to the chest, and try to open it again.
And for traps, its even worse. The trap detection range is so small, they RARELY detect one before I'm already way past it.
I'd love to give these skills to all my Hawkes.
Anyone know how yet?

After enabling the developer console ( via the link properties in steam, if you're using steam )
runscript addtalent 200000. Adds 'rogue' class to your character, which includes the lockpicking.

Just clarifying, it's addtalent, not additem. Rogue class is also 200000, not 300000.translucentwolf wrote...

I know the console working as cheat and debug commands are working a long with addtalent 1 (adds a dummy attack talent).
Dunno why but on new try it worked LOL.

We need a way to specifically add lockpicking / disarm / detect.

And Lockpicking and Disarm Traps are part of the Rogue class. There is no specific talent for it. Here is the Raw Talent Dump
dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console_(Dragon_Age_II)/Talent_codes
Just in case you are wondering, 7 and 8 are test Talents, they don't do anything.

if(hasTALENT == 200000){
check cunning, etc.
}else{
You're SOL mate.
}

I'd venture to say it isn't a skill so much a class check, something like
if(hasTALENT == 200000){
check cunning, etc.
}else{
You're SOL mate.
}
I am afraid you are right, and if so... that really stinks
Love the else loop ;p.

are you adding the -enabledeveloperconsole to the correct shortcut, not the launcher one, but a new shortcut dirctly to the Dragoneage2.exe file?
Yeah at first that's what I was doing wrong but realized my mistake and fixed it. And this is my string to open it in KeyBindings.ini:
OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_`
OpenConsole_1=(UNASSIGNED)
Which is in:
C:\\Documents and Settings\\MyName\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings

Are you the same person who asked this question on DANexus? You need to spell out the symbol, not just use the actual symbol. So in this case, it would be Button_Tilde.Tosalen wrote...

If you are a warrior, and you add the rogue class, does that break anything?
I know if you are a mage and you add rogue, you mess storyline elements up a bunch because of the carver/bethany issue.
