This, Templars are trained for these exact situations, unless they are outnumbered, Templars tend to win against mages, the only reason they didn't if you sided with mages was because Meredith went crazy and because the Champion (VERY powerful by this point, compared to normal people) and his equally powerful companions were against them as well.

I like Cullen a lot in DA2. I feel he can be a great Knight-commander now that hes seen the worst of both side.devilsgrin wrote...
if not for the totalitarianism of Meredith, i probably would have sided with Cullen and Co. There were just TOO many Blood Mages in DA2... almost "unrealistically" so. Never-the-less, people like Merideth are one of the few types of people i find absolutely repugnant from all facets. She reminds me a great deal of Loghain actually, replacing Orlesians with Blood Mages...
