I know I did. First he threatened Anders and then ofcourse I had to endure his high-horse self-agrandizing. "May the maker restore the souls of the beloved in due haste, keep them safe on thier way up to you!"

Sheesh, we get it , they died, get over it Sebastian. Then he has to keep asking me to kill Anders, " And what of Anders?'' " I swear I will return to Starkhaven and bring an army that will destroy him!" Wow, so the grand cleric, aka her oldness gets blown up and you threaten to loot the city? Now who's an extremist? May the maker send your ass to hell! Then he says he's going to kill Anders pesonally and that was the last straw. I've been sleeping with that dude for a year and he expects me to just kill him. No Sebastian, you should have died that day, trying to avenge your beloved Grand Cleric!

Will he fight with you if you side with the mages?

Opposite reaction. Couldn't disagree more. Anders was Hawke's friend, but he died quick. Would have died just as quick in a romance.

Yes he does.

But what I wanted to do was slap him, and tell him he should've gone back to Starkhaven.

Yes, as long as Anders dies. Shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone. He felt the same way about the Flint mercenaries who killed his family.

Yea i was pissed at Janders for pulling a stupid stunt like that. He should have blown up the Templar Hall with that nutjob Meredith in it, not the chantry.  I agreed with Sebastian and murderknifed the abomination in a heartbeat.

I stopped listening to anything Sebastian had to say long before that event... I was going to kill Anders regardless, so I guess we finally agreed on something.

I don't blame Sebastian for wanting revenge. I do blame him for acting like a child and threatening to make his army destroy a city full of innocent people because of the actions of one person. If I changed my mind on killing Anders and if it was an option I wouldn't hesitate to kill Sebastian. At least Anders did what he did with noble intentions, Sebastian is just looking for revenge on people who did nothing to him.

He sees Meredith walking away from the killer to kill the innocent, and Hawke not punishing the guilty party either. To him that reads as not caring that the Chantry (which was probably full of his friends and fellow clerics) was destroyed or that the Grand Cleric was murdered. At that point, he decides that they're all heretics. He's also trying to get you to change your mind with the only means he has at his disposal.

I wanted to slap him, yes, but I really couldn't blame him. The Grand Cleric was an important person to him as well as many other Chantry-goers, and seeing Hawke not do anything to punish the culprit when he's standing right there? I'd flip, too.

I don't have the DLC for Sebastian, but my Hawke would have killed Anders for betraying him like that.. Except Anders was the only healer around, leaving Hawke with no choice but to let Anders try to redeem himself.

It would have been pretty heinous to let Anders walk free after what he did. Sebastian had every right to be furious.

How is asking me to kill someone I care for suppose to change my mind. Sebastian is foolish. If he had wanted Anders dead, he should have said, " I'll take Anders to a safe place, you protect the mages hawke" But I guess Sebastian is too forthright to do something like that

When have you ever played a game when the npcs took action instead of the PC, especially furtively? That's not how games work. It was up to Hawke. It's not the least bit foolish to expect you to take action, whatever your relationship. Anders killed  what must have been hundreds as well as the Grand Cleric. 'Oh, well' isn't going to cut it for a friend of the people he killed.

Sebastian was right and people who fear not having a healer, Bethany can be your healer just as easily with the import if you made her Grey Warden or if you left her behind in the final mission of Act1 . And if your a Mage Hawke, why didnt you at least learn heal even the guide book recommends it whether your going offensive Mage or not. So yeah as long as you didnt kill Bethany and have those conditions made, its fine offing Anders for blowing the Chantry up.

I know it seems Selfish, but if I had to choose between killing Sebastian to protect Anders I would end Sebastian in a heartbeat

I did not care enough for Sebastian. To be quite frank, even having Anders' head on a pike wouldn't change a thing at the point, and I simply could not see the mages get slaughtered, so I might as well keep Anders at my side.

Well, this game, if you refuse Anders's final request. That guy's the worst.

Oh, regarding the original question: Not really? Sebastian is boring, but understandable. I was all, "whatever, Sebastian, I had literally forgotten that you were a A Thing until this very moment and I don't care about your opinion, but I was already planning on murder-knifing Anders, so we cool."

Yes, it was only filled with every friend Sebastian had in the world, except for Hawke. Of course, an explosion of that size probably took out a big chunk of the city, so that wouldn't have been the only casualties.

Point taken about Anders, but that was a case of plot-crazy, not usual game mechanics.

You gotta protect what you love. That's why I got the romantic achievement for sticking with Anders, even if he does have a poor moral compass.

Did Sebastian have a right to be angry? yes. Want Anders to pay? yes.

Did he have the right to kill every man, woman and child in Kirkwall? Hell no. That makes what Anders did look like a black eye.

Further, he proved he absorbed absolutely nothing of what Elthina said about murdering people "for justice" still being murder. That we didn't get to at least call him on that, if not kill him in order to stop his insanity, is one of the things that irritated me most about the game.
