I have an issue in that I cannot stay logged into the social site.
Almost every page I view I have to login again.
I try and select the 'remember me' option every time. I have cleared my browser cache numerous times as well as enabling and disabling SSO in Win7 for the social site.
There are some pages I cannot view at all as I get logged out with a message "You must be logged in to view this page". I login but then I have to click the link again and get logged out.
Closed forums requiring registration are no-goes and most of my profile information is closed off.
Is there something else I can try to remain logged on between pages?
**EDIT** even trying to post this page logs me out and returns a message: "You cannot access this restricted area."
Cannot stay logged in

I have that same problem both on this site and in-game. My recent activity feed has been disabled for over a year and I cant seem to get anyone to offer a solution for either issue.

Same here. It comes in fits and then it's back to normal for an hour or so.

Same here. Sometimes I can view a few pages before I get logged out, other times it's every page I visit, and seems sporadic.
I recall reading a long time ago (please don't ask me for links or quotes) that checking the 'remember me' box may have had something to do with it, so I've been making sure that box is clear before clicking 'sign in'. No point in trying with it ticked if it doesn't solve the problem.

This problem has been very difficult to track down. I have setup a group at http://social.bioware.com/group/4417/ for the purpose of tracking this problem down and fixing it. If you are having this problem and would like to help I encourage you to join.

Howdy, Jeff! I have never had the problem until today. I use Firefox 3.6- something, and suddenly, today, Saturday, May 21, instead of the end of the world (bad joke on that radio minister), I keep getting the "Log Out" roughly every second time I change pages here, as when I go from the composition page for a new post, back to the index page. And my status will change from logged in to logged out.

It has gone from a few times per session to almost nearly every post; had to reboot to try and fix.

In my case, it stopped after I complained in my comment to this thread. Weird deal there!
For convenience, I keep multiple tabs going at once, for various forums here. Two hours after adding this comment, and about twelve hours after the previous incidents of being logged out by the site's software, I've had a new incident just now, when I refreshed the view of the tab I have open on the Dragon Age Origins Gneral Subjects forum.
I've been keeping a log of the misbehaviors since it started, and here that is (with the items above in there too:

Now, attempting to post this newer comment, I've gotten an error message saying that I cannot access a "restricted area", so I assume THIS particular browser tab is being logged off BEFORE the updated post can be logged into the database!
Less than a half hour later, at 10:45 AM CDT, the DAO PC Tech Forum's browser tab just got logged out. And three minute after *THAT*, the tab for the Mass Effect (1) PC Tech forum did the same!
Then, at noon, the tab for the DA2 registered owners' general discussion got logged out. I took a break from the 'net, so it couldn't log me out for three hours, but just as soon as I was back, at 3:45 PM, it logged me out of the regular DA2 General Forum this time.
I have been been busy with RL for a few hours, and now it is 9:20 PM, and the DAO PC Tech forum is the one being stupid this time. The next day, it's up to the same crap at 10:00 AM! In the DAO Tech forum. Twice in a row when FireFox "reload" was keyed in. DAMN! Practically three times in a row -- I got by with maybe two page changes before it happened once again!
I got a free (of site errors) period for almost four hours when I was in and out fairly frequently, but got hit once again, just now, in the Mass Effect 2 Tech Forum this time. Forty five minutes after that, same crap again, in the same tab for the same forum!
At 8:30 PM, it's back to screwing with the DAO Tech forum again, twice in less than a single minute! Ridiculous & unnecessary!

had same problem, now i dont (at least for now). I did this with IE8.
added social.bioware.com to trusted sites, under internet options, security. you have to make it https, not http.
Im suprised we had to make a group for this, I guess noone at bioware goes and buys a computer at bestbuy or something and see it if works with there products/forums.

Since I've been using FireFox right from the start of the site, and have changed nothing at all, the fact that I have trouble NOW and never before means they have broken this aspect of the site worse than it was before.

Although the last entry I made here CLAIMS to have been "1 day ago", according to the forum's screwy counting, it's much closer to being two. I had one of these annoying failures 47 hours ago, and got my first "long" stretch in a week before having it happen another time, just now. I'm waiting on acceptance to the reference group of people suffering from this ridiculous foolishness.

I also have sent an request.
This issue is really getting on my nerves.
It doesn't happen a lot with / for me, but when it does it is very persistent.
It usually happens when editing a post, replying to a topic and going to a different page.
When I open my previously closed tabs in Chrome, in some tabs I'm logged out while in others I'm still logged in. Refreshing the page in the tabs where I'm logged out doesn't help, so I have to log myself in automatically. Chrome can't be the cause, since Chrome logs me in automatically.

It's already been a couple of days, plus, since I put in a request to join his group. I know that they were away from the forum over the weekend, with the sole exception that I'm aware of, being John Eppler, but someone had all day yesterday to deal with however many new requests there were (it's our holiday, AFAIK, not necessarily a Canadian one), and I'm betting there are a lot of the new requests, but I've heard nothing.

There hasn't been any feedback in the group itself, other than Jeff letting us know that he enabled some sort of activity tracker on our accounts to monitor the circumstances under which this happens. No change as of yet, I'm still being logged off several times each session. The only time it works alright is when I browse with my phone or an older version of Firefox.
Very odd situation.

Restarting my computer appears to fix the issue for what ever reason for a fair amt of time. FYI
