So when I start a new game in DA2 what if I want to import a dead warden, you know the one that gets you the ultimate sacrifice achievement? Do I import using the autosave or the save before that which is right before the archdemon, I mean will the game know that I meant to sacrifice my warden and not Alistair who was in my party for that save?

To get the final results of your DAO game, there should be an auto-save on the list with a title that indicates it's an end-game save. Import that one.
