I played the game twice...second time around i began to see more issues with the game because my imported save from another character unlocked some side quests I didn't get in the first playthrough. While these quests were cool because they involved some characters from Origins, they were WAY too short and lackluster. I also made from different decisions and it didn't really seem to be any big difference from my first playthrough. In fact, the second time I went through i chose a different choice at the end and all it did was add even MORE fighting with the same deflated ending. That really dragged it down for me. So I am back to playing Mass Effect 2.

I will replay this game at least a couple more times. However, I will probably wait for the first patch.
I had made two playthroughs of Origins that I intended on using in DA2 to create two honest import saves for DA3.

I played twice and I chose some different options and some things were made available the second time through that wasn't the first time because I imported a save from another character from Origins. Because of that, DA2 unlocked some side quests i didn't get the first time because of choices I made in Origins. While these quests were pretty cool because they involved characters from the first game, they fell flat and were just way to short. In fact, on my second play through I chose a different choice at the end and all it did was lead to MORE fighting then the original play through and the outcome was literally the same. This really dragged it down for me.

I'm replaying it, just to make absolutely sure that it's really as disappointing as I first thought.
So far, it is.
It's funny cuz it's true

The thing about DA2 is that it does make a great first impression but it wears down after a while. I've been playing for the last week, every evening for about 3-4 hours. Initially, I was amazed by the nice graphics and animations. The combat is fun to watch and it can be satisfing but the waves of enemies kill the strategy
But I've probably completed well over two dozen quests, none of which stand out for me. The characters are just flat out drab and lifeless (Kirkwall is the same way).
I'm getting used to Hawke and not having the ability to create a character of my own. But something tells me I won't be sinking more time into this game like I did with DA:O.
It's a very odd game, I might do one more play through but I'm not sure.

Beat it on Nightmare with a warrior. Thought the game was alright, which=terrible compared to what I think of every other Bioware title.
Tried to replay as a mage and a few hours in, I couldn't do it anymore. I will probably play it again eventually, but it's not the type of game I can replay over and over without getting bored...unlike DAO & ME.
Loses a lot of replay value when there's so many identical fights(mercenary waves)/areas.

I will replay because for some reason I never got Isabella in my party and the Sebastian quest was bugged so he didn't show up until well into act 3. I'll load a different DA save to see if that makes any difference and I'll probably focus on different romance options.
There are still things I would like to see/unlock, but it's not as compelling as replaying DA:O for a whole different ending/changing the characters etc as the ending in this game is the same no matter what. I definitely won't get the replay value that I did with DA:O.

I actually enjoyed the game quite a bit, so I'll be playing it again with a different class and disposition. I will however most definitely be waiting for a patch or two to do it. There was just too many hiccups and bugs... Act III is actually kind of a bloody mess in that regard.
I won't be replaying this game as much as Origins though, that's for sure. The recycled areas and content will wear thin way too fast for that. I'm already skipping certain side quests on the first playthrough because I just don't want to go through the same scenery yet again. It's unusual for me to do that because I'm a bit of a completionist and I love to explore, but... this definitely isn't the game for that sort of thing.
I figure I might get one or two more runs through out of it. Probably one. We'll see... once some of the glitches get ironed out with a patch or two and imported saved games from DA:O work properly, there will definitely be incentive for another play.

Doing it right now, I'm 10h into my second playthrough as a female mage. Also have a few hours in the 3rd game as a rogue.
Oh and I'm trying the nightmare mode.

Finding it an effort to finish it once. I had really hoped to have multiple playthroughs, as I've played through Origins many times and still continue to, but I don't see it happening. Honestly, a toolset update might make all the difference in the world.

Contemplating my second Hawke who will be Pro-Templar and romance Isabella. Want to see how my experience will differ from my main mage playthrough.
