I have managed to item swap a companions armor (Bethany) with a random piece of chest armor in my inventory and it shows up in my backpack as Bethanys armor but it still has the character restriction so that my main char cant equip it. anyone know how to remove this restriction either by mod or which property im supposed to edit in a gff editor?

And, btw, I really want a wearable armor item for a mage champion that looks like Bethany's armor.  I'm gonna try to tackle the modding tutorials out there, but if you have it and can get it to work, I would be eternally grateful for an upload.  I know it's superficial, but I just don't like the game's view of mage robes at all!  Bethany's armor was the first model I've seen even throughout DAO that I liked.  Anyway, hope the link helps you and good luck!

I did try that mod and even though it says it removes character restrictions it removed all the restrictions EXCEPT the character restriction . other than that i was able to get bethanys armor in my inventory i just need to get rid of that restriction.

I think that mod only removes the hawk restriction on armor so that ur companions can wear it. it seems everyone is focused on getting diff armor equiped on the companions no one is really looking into equiping the companion armor onto hawke. the only workaround that may work is swapping body models. i know it works for switching companion bodies like giving merils character bethanys body but iono if it works with hawke and what that does to equiping diff armors. if nothing else works ill try the body swap.
