Anyone come across 'Smith' in the game ? He hardly says anything but seems to be familiar from Dragon Age Orgins and is standing near a trader who you can buy/sell from, is there a quest tied to him? If so how do you start it?

If you do Hubert's quest for the Bone Pit and then become a business partner, you'll start a series of quests where you have to defeat giant spiders, zombies, and then buy pickaxes for the miners.
The last quest is *not* worth it. You have to spend 15 sov. for the pickaxes and you only get some XP in return.
