So, I'm sorry, but this is VERY poor choice by the developers. In the other 2 acts, you had the option at the end to either go forward, or go and finish your remaining quests. So I figured, I'll get all the quest flags I can and then finish them before I do the final quest. Well, I had 2 quests left. I can't turn my Herbalist Task, and I can't get the last Qunari sword because they're BOTH at the gallows. And when I enter the gallows, I'm automatically entered into the final quest.
What I don't get... WHY HAVE AN NPC IN THE GALLOWS TO TELL YOU TO COME TO THE CHANTRY FOR THE FINAL BATTLE? If it's an automatic quest scene, then why not have it happen when you approach the Chantry!? Or better yet, why not have the NPC flag to talk to him rather than automatically start the final battle. I could try and go all the way back to before I started that quest, but then I'd have a lot of stuff to go back through again. I mean why give me the option to finish twice, and then the third time say "no... sorry... we want to rush this ending on you" I'm sure they're not THAT great of quests, they're just turn in quests, but still. I guess I'll just get them on my second play through. Oh and btw BioWare, we can tell you rushed the game out, because Act III is riddled with buggy quests. A lot of times I had to open up the debug console because I would get trapped. For example, fighting the pride demon for the scrolls quest. After the fight, my party would not leave attack mode, and because of this I could not leave the area. Act III is so short, you could not test this in time???
Wow, Act III quests deadend
