I'm making a thread about this and many people can vouch.
Importing an Awakening save may cause Nathaniel to say the Architect is alive even though he isn't. It's basically an import issue.
Unless this is some new plot twist I don't know about?

Yeah I had the same thing happen where he said the architect was alive even though I killed him with the import I used.

I imported from Witch Hunt, Nathaniel was alive at the end of Awakening. I didn't even get the quest to find him

Architect plot flag will always say you spared him. This is a known issue and we're looking in to it.

Another player for whom Nathaniel never even showed up. I loaded from my Witch Hunt save file which had been through Origins and Awakening, I skipped Golems, in which Nate survived. I've heard if Nathaniel is alive you're not even supposed to get the Fool's Gold quest but that did show up and I did complete it FYI.

Import was from Origins to Awakening to Golems to Witch Hunt. Got the quest Fool's gold and no Finding Nathaniel.

I also can't get Finding Nathaniel Quest to Appear. I get Fool's Gold Quest Instead.

Atleast you talk to him. He didn't show up in my import at all, nor many other people.
I picked a static story for my current playthrough and it seems I have a lot more mention of the events from DA: Origins than I did from my imported game. It's really to bad I only have two imports because DLC in Origins forced me to delete characters to allow for space.

Ye i'm getting Fool's Gold from my playthroughs consistently even when i use a save where Nate was with me at the end of Awakening to fight the Mother.

ditto. Saved Nathaniel and made him a grey warden in Awakening and yet I keep getting fool's gold on multiple playthroughs.
